I paid a lot of money for this item and to have it installed. It was not that difficult but they did not make it easy. The item does not add any more flow than the stock system supplies. I do not recommend, it is definitely not worth 300 let alone $500. The stock air filter system on my 2022 Trail Boss provides just as much air. I was definitely excited to get this item because I have a $2,000 borla exhaust on my Silverado and believe this would give it the air and sound I was seeking. The system sounds the same and performance of the truck is the same without it installed and I spent $500 elsewhere on the truck and kids for Christmas. If you want to throw away $500 go ahead. Also I used to have a Hemi with a dual air intake off of eBay for $60 and it made a world of difference over the stock Hemi air system. That was a wonderful investment in would have been worth $500. Unfortunately the manufacturers in some cases are providing the same performance and aftermarket part would provide. This allows the gas mileage to be higher in a V8 which is what the manufacturers strive for you get the good sound and performance and you save 500$$. ... show more

The box came in a little beat up. The heat shield had paint chips along many of the edges. When it came time to install the reducer coupler to the throttle body in step 19, I discovered the incorrect part had been sent with the kit. They provided two sizes based on the engine displacement but the smaller one was not listed on the parts list. This was a Saturday and K&N customer service line was not available until Monday after 10AM. I had to reinstall the stock air intake after getting 75% completed. I was very mad. I called K&N Monday morning at 10A and they said they would overnight the correct coupler to my home. We’ll see how it goes ... show more

Sounds great when you get on to it. I second the previous comment on getting the tube from the throttle body to the airbox was pretty snug. Border line didn't fit but just have to finesse it in there. Other than that the instructions were clear and concise.
