The media could not be loaded. Installed this on my 2001 Cummins. Everything was packaged well, no parts missing, very easy install. Sound quality is fantastic, turbo whistle is much louder and I like that. Exhaust gas temperatures are lower.     • Better Instructions Needed
I installed this in my 1 ton 5.9 Cummins dually to hopefully, increase horsepower and fuel mileage. I haul RV's as a semi retirement activity and fuel economy is vital to profitability. I took it for a test run today and the horsepower increase is obvious. I will know this week if it translates into increased fuel economy (it should as the horsepower translates into fuel burned.). My only complaint is the VERY poor detail in the installation instructions. For a $220 plus product K&N could have done a lot better.. ... show more

    • VERY LOUD Turbo Whistle! Not for a daily driver truck...
Very solid and well made, only problem is IT IS SO LOUD!!!!!!!! It makes the turbo whistle so crazy loud in the cab. I almost had to take it off and return it, but it's just on my farm truck that I don't drive alot. If you had this on a daily driver truck it would drive you crazy.

Totally stoked about the improvement this made in the operation of our truck. Installed this and an air intake manifold. Together they gave us MUCH more torque and about 5 more miles per gallon. THESE PARTS WILL NOT NEGATIVELY AFFECT YOUR WARRANTY. Had we known that earlier, we would not have waited so long to install them. We have 4:10 gears. This actually gave us better gear range too. Now we cruise easily in 3rd gear at 35 mph. Before, we would push 3rd or lug 4th. More air into the motor is an outstanding improvement. ... show more

    • Seems fine but missing 3 required parts for installation
It's hard to be excited about a product when required parts are missing from the installation kit. Now I have to call customer support and get the parts shipped and install it correctly later. For the money I had much higher expectations. I'm doing about a $10k rehab of a cummins 5.9l and not having installations go smoothly is kind of a pisser. BTW support is open 10 to 4 central US time ... show more

Fits like a glove and easy to install,makes the turbo sound great.Did not buy it to save fuel,bought it for the looks and sound. It does let alot more air to the Turbo.

Finally (recently in 2017), I bought this K&N air filter for my '02 Ram 2500 6-spd HD diesel (all original). Surprisingly, it did improve mileage some (~ 50 - 70 miles more per full tank). I also noticed the truck has slightly improved responsive and pulls a load a little better going up steep grades. ... show more
