This is the first CAI I have put on a vehicle of mine. I have used several k & n filters in the past and am never disappointed. This kit for my 2006 Dodage Dakota with the 4.7 was no exception. The kit install was super easy, fit perfect without a hitch. The parts were very thought out all the way to the air sensor electrical wire extension. Very pleased with the purchase. Engine growl intensified which isn’t my thing but if it’s yours you will love it! I highly recommend k & n. I don’t know about mileage gains yet but I’m sure the better air flow just can’t hurt! ... show more

1. the sound is amazing. 2. Much more responsive. 3. Mileage is coming up. Very easy to install and I am not a car guy nor am I particular handy and I was able to compete it in under and hour and a half. Great product very impressed,but not surprised with the KN quality.

got this for my dodge Dakota st v6 3.7l and installed it yesterday. now my truck actually has power in lower gears. It purr like a big cat. even better on a highway. more Power!!! Not sure about MPG yet. will keep you posted. just make sure you get the right one for you truck. check out the manufacture website for detail info. update. 11/20/13 More power x5!!!! I also added these to my truck and now my truck is actually fun to drive. Airaid 310-508 PowerAid Throttle Body Spacer Flowmaster 17458 Cat-back System - Single Side Exit - Force II - Mild Sound i actually called airaid and they told me that did not make a throttle body spacer for dakota. but with little research i found out jeep used the same throttle body as dakotas. they do make spacers for jeeps. so know i have airaid TB spacer in my truck. combination of these upgrades and custom throttle body (bigger intake custom milled) the truck fly down the street. no delay no hesitation what so ever. touch the peddle and it put you back in the seat. thank god i put in new breaks and master cylinder. only thing left to isntall is the chip but i'm happy with this setup. too much fun to think about MPG. ... show more

Would have been nice for this kit to actually include all the hardware needed to completed the installation. But no, that would have been too easy. Now I am going to have to assemble this intake kit off the vehicle to find out what is missing, then I have to completely reassemble the original air intake system so I can drive to the auto parts store and try and find what is missing. Thanks K&N for wasting hours out of my day and making me do double the work. Tempted to just return it. ... show more

This intake is good, I did notice an increase in power and fuel economy with it. Installation was a breeze and took about 45 minutes. I did a little modification to make this a TRUE cold air kit by routing the intake through the hole in the fender and behind the stock fog light.
