got this for my dodge Dakota st v6 3.7l and installed it yesterday. now my truck actually has power in lower gears. It purr like a big cat. even better on a highway. more Power!!! I also added these to my truck and now my truck is actually fun to drive. Airaid 310-508 PowerAid Throttle Body Spacer Flowmaster 17458 Cat-back System - Single Side Exit - Force II - Mild Sound i actually called airaid and they told me that did not make a throttle body spacer for dakota. but with little research i found out jeep used the same throttle body as dakotas. they do make spacers for jeeps. so know i have airaid TB spacer in my truck. combination of these upgrades and custom throttle body (bigger intake custom milled) the truck fly down the street. no delay no hesitation what so ever. touch the peddle and it put you back in the seat. thank god i put in new breaks and master cylinder. only thing left to isntall is the chip but i'm happy with this setup. too much fun to think about MPG. ... show more

1. the sound is amazing. 2. Much more responsive. 3. Mileage is coming up. Very easy to install and I am not a car guy nor am I particular handy and I was able to compete it in under and hour and a half. Great product very impressed,but not surprised with the KN quality.

The media could not be loaded. This is what it sounds like sucking all the extra air. Before the FIPK all i heard was engine rev. This really opens up the air flow and allows a lot of combustion chamber echo back down the air intake, which in turn gives a VERY throaty sound when the engine is loaded. You will not notice the "growl" parked. When I finished up and took it out for a test run, the first time i mashed it, the sound half startled me. it sounds like it has duals now. My 0-60 dropped 1 full second to 9.6sec by adding this and the Airaid Poweraid. I also worked over my factory throttle body and now get about 2-3mpg better (25-27mpg) cruising on the interstate at 70mph. The best part is that off the line it is quite noticeable as well as quicker to get around when passing others. ... show more

Good lord this thing sucks the hell out of air. I bought this for my 2005 Dodge Dakota 4x4, and it sucks air like no other. You can hear it sucking over while driving over my cherry bomb extreme with turn downs. Throttle response, deff. better. Gas milage.... to early too tell. I will try to give another update on this topic. It showed on my EST MPG on Hwy, I was averaging 26 MPG, as to before, 24 MPG. I will not swear by this though, but overall awesome product, and supper fast shipping. The item looks very scary when you open it, its not, calm down, it took about 25 minutes to put it together and about 20-30 to put it on. ... show more

Not that it makes a big difference but this item made my 2006 Dodge Dakota V8 Magnum louder. I was not expecting that. I have not had my truck long so an increase in power could be there but i'm not sure. You can hear the sudden intake of air when you slam that gas pedal. I paired it with a throttle body spacer (Also on Amazon) and my truck now whistles. Both where easy to install. One hour minimum, two hour max. ... show more

I was very satisfied with the quality of this product and the excellent instructions included. My Air Intake system is installed on a 2005 Dakota 4.7 V8. It has improved horse power and accelaration as expected. I can't speak to specifics on fuel economy changes, because I am in Michigan and it's 4 wheel drive snow season. My guess is on the one tank before snow season it improved by about 2 miles per gallon. It has a real nice Power sound when you put your foot into it. I like it. ... show more
