I installed this today and it took me about an hour. Would have been quicker but I was in and out of the house grabbing tools and coffee. The good... 1. Install is easy if you have the right tools and read the instructions, Youtube videos exist so if you need more direction just google Jeep Gladiator K&N Cold Air Intake Install. 2. The motor growls when you hit the throttle! I do not want the full sound of an aftermarket exhaust but the stock intake makes no sound at all. If you are looking for a nice growl without being obnoxious (IMO) this is the way to go. 3. Throttle response is noticeable better but not sure how much of that is associated with the sound, it could be a Jedi mind trick. 4. This is handmade in the USA!1 (according to the box) The bad... 1. Other brands do not require you take the grill off and remove the air inlet tube behind. This is not a big deal if you are familiar with removing the grill but it still adds time to the overall install. 2. I have had other vehicles with CAIs and sometimes at low rpms they can feel sluggish. Overall they add HP and I believe they are worth it but it is something to keep in mind. This went right into the 2018 Jeep Rubicon it was designed for. Pretty simple installation, except for one part. The “intake air temperature sensor”, is actually a really fragile part. As long as you pay close attention, you’ll be fine. If you happen to be a forgetful type, put the grommet in when it tells you too, but wait until you’re nearly done to install the sensor. ... show more
