I installed a K&N Cold Air Intake Kit after having borla s cat back exhaust installed. It is a nice fun add on. Don't expect to feel the power. You will notice 1 mpg difference and maybe a little deeper exhaust note. The installation was not difficult. The hardest part is getting the original air box out and installing the new one. It definitely cleans up the engine bay. Also be prepared to buy more air dam snap in plugs. ... show more

Instructions are solid, all the hardware included but the top of the airbox doesn’t line up with the rubber grommets so it’s doesn’t actually close fully. Definitely adds some pep though.

Relatively simple installation, even for a novice. There are plenty of videos online with step-by-step instructions. About 90 minutes, but I moved slowly. The negatives are really that there are some really tight spaces, and the plastic clips are very tight on new vehicles. Installation finished and the truck sounds awesome! I thought I was buying directly from K&N but it is a 3rd party company and when I had concerns I reached out and spoke to them directly. I am glad I did as they walked me through the differences in cold air intakes along with other products. Do yourself a favor and reach out to the company and see what else they offer in after-market accessories I am extremely happy with the kit, petty easy to install. If you can turn a wrench shouldn't take more than 2 hours. The sound-throttle response is awesome. Install was stupid simple. Took about 45 minutes from start to finish. Increased power is noticeable immediately and the truck sounds better. At idle the truck will still sound quiet but while driving you will notice the smooth v8 purr.

I installed this Cold Air Intake on my 2019 Sierra Denali 6.2L with less than 3,000 miles. Is that extreme, maybe. I have run K&N filters on a dozen vehicles which made this decision a no brainer. Getting all that bulky air box out of the way no doubt addend HP. Getting the old airbox out was tricky but there is a YouTube video out there to help. Getting the new K&N airbox back in wasn't quite as difficult but did take some contortion. Added this prior to a Borla Type-S Cat Back exhaust. There was a audible growl at certain RPMs that put a smile on my face. Can't quite hear them now with the Borla installed but was glad I did this install first to understand it made a difference. ... show more

No better fuel economy. At all. No real power gain that is noticeable. Sounds better, but you really gotta hit the gas to hear it. If you’re reading this review, just buy it because you know you’re going to. Just don’t expect to have a whole new truck when it’s done.
