  • Impressive difference in the performance
Style: BlackHawk
Easy to install, impressive changes into the way the engine sounds and performs. Only complaint is the installation instructions, need to be a bit more definitive on the removal process of the OEM parts.

  • Quick Install and Sounds Great!!
Style: Roto-Molded
I installed this today and it took me about an hour. Would have been quicker but I was in and out of the house grabbing tools and coffee. The good... 1. Install is easy if you have the right tools and read the instructions, Youtube videos exist so if you need more direction just google Jeep Gladiator K&N Cold Air Intake Install. 2. The motor growls when you hit the throttle! I do not want the full sound of an aftermarket exhaust but the stock intake makes no sound at all. If you are looking for a nice growl without being obnoxious (IMO) this is the way to go. 3. Throttle response is noticeable better but not sure how much of that is associated with the sound, it could be a Jedi mind trick. 4. This is handmade in the USA!1 (according to the box) The bad... 1. Other brands do not require you take the grill off and remove the air inlet tube behind. This is not a big deal if you are familiar with removing the grill but it still adds time to the overall install. 2. I have had other vehicles with CAIs and sometimes at low rpms they can feel sluggish. Overall they add HP and I believe they are worth it but it is something to keep in mind. I still rate this as 5 stars despite these very small issues. ... show more

  • HUGE Difference from stock
Style: Metal Intake
I can’t emphasize enough the dramatic change in sound coming from this engine under moderate to heavy acceleration. If you would have told me that an otherwise completely stock Jeep 3.6l V6 would sound this loud and this good with just a cold air intake installation, I would never have believed you. I am very knowledgeable about automotive technology and again, I never would have believed that this alone could make such a difference. I can tell you that my city MPG (when I’m not having fun making the engine sing, of course) has gone up approximately 1.25 MPG, which without modifying the exhaust, is very impressive. My only warning is that this intake may be too loud (I know, I know, but there is such a thing) for some peoples liking. If that’s the case for you, Amazon offers plenty of other options where the filter element isn’t wide open like with this system, which should decrease the overall volume. Lastly, on the highway (keep in mind I have 4.10 gears in my gladiator), cruising RPMs at 75mph went from 2100 to roughly 1900. Overall, HIGHLY recommend over stock. ... show more

  • Great Great Great product
Style: BlackHawk
Awesome product, peddle response and the extra power felt great and nice sound as always with KnN. Installed easy. But Note be careful and easy removing sensor. Factory is sealed on took a few minutes to carefully remove but that is only issue you may have.

  • Good product, not perfect.
Style: Roto-Molded
While I didn’t get any perceivable change in mileage (wasn’t expecting any), I did get a great sound and maybe a touch more power at the high end of the RPM range. Install was easy although the instructions could have been better. The air temp sensor fitting is not good though and I get a check engine code once ever 500 miles or so. I push it back in and it clears only to repeat itself again. Edit: Check engine was do to the fan failing (at less than 10k miles). CAI is great and I have had no issues 20k miles later. ... show more

  • Nice growling from the engine now
Style: Roto-Molded
Easy enough install on my 2021 Jeep Gladiator Mojave. Jeep seemed to over engineer the stock intake, adding what I can only assume are sound dampeners. The K&N eliminates all that and does a straight filter to intake design. The way the air sensor inserts into the unit could be a little better. That was probably the most difficult part. It's no wonder others have snapped it while trying to install it. Make sure the green painted stripe is facing up otherwise you'll get a code. I didn't buy it necessarily for any horsepower or gas savings, mostly to provide more air to the intake and the sound it makes. Yes, I might be a "poser" but it does sound wonderful. A nice growling sound, but not an obnoxious hollow muffler pop like some imports are modded like. Amazon so far has the lowest price than all the other online stores I researched. Other than the goofy air sensor bit, I throughly enjoyed doing this mod. ... show more

  • Doesn't fit properly
Style: Roto-Molded
This is probably the 5th KN intake I've purchased in the last 12 years or so. Never an issue with install or performance. They got this one wrong though. Heat index on Saturday was 112 and the engine compartment was hot as well. All went well til the end. 1st, there were missing parts, which they have Fed Exed to me, but the issue has to do with the temp sensor install. I also give 1 star to Jeep because to remove the sensor, you turn it counterclockwise 45 degrees and wiggle it out. Nope, didn't happen. I called KN about the missing parts and also spoke to their tech about the sensor and also looked it up on U tube. Well, I twisted and turned and pulled on it until it broke ( new one is $35 at Advanced Auto parts). I installed the breather tube after receiving a replacement from KN. The major issue is the tube from the box to where it connects to the intake has a hole in it for the sensor to fit in . NO WAY will it work as compared to the OEM tube. Maybe Jeep changed the way the sensor fits the tube that KN doesn't know about. The missing grommet they sent me didn't fit the hole and I had to slice it 3/8 inch to get it to fit the hole and then the sensor still doesn't fit. The hole in the OEM tube is entirely different from the KN tube. Guess I'll just duct tape it until I can figure out something else and stare at my check engine light. Other reviews made no mention of this problem. My guess is Jeep changed the design and if they did, KN needs to come to the dance and figure it out. My Gladiator is a '21. Gonna check with other Jeep owners and look at their intakes, Either way, I'm pissed. At least it's working. ... show more
