Remove the original air intake, some of the screws and rubber grommets you will need to transfer to make the heat shield sit in solid. Once that is in, everything else should fall in place as long as you give it enough slack and adjust as you go. Ensure that you install the air sensor in the correct direction and install the given sponge bad thing between the plastics when you screw it in to ensure it being air tight. Before you start, remove your negative terminal from the battery so your car can reset and recognize the change. Might take up to an hour for sensors to come back so don't panic! ... show more

Drastically improved acceleration on my 2017 Civic Sport. I have the CVT transmission and it still sounds great especially when doing a small pull off a stop light or something. Great growl sound and big whoosh when you let off the throttle at about 4000-5000 rpm’s

I have a 2018 Honda Civic Hatchback Sport CVT. I installed this CAI to complement a Magnaflow 19373 Cat-Back exhaust and a Ktuner with Phearable 1.5R tune. Idk how the CAI performs individually, but at 5k+ RPM, my car is roaring and pulls like a little beast. This CAI opens up the possibility for more power, but the induction sound is definitely more pronounced. The only bad thing is it will heat soak after just minutes of daily driving. I’ve seen numbers as high as 60F above ambient in stop-and-go traffic—and that was just the air going into the intake—the air temp at the inlet pipe is going to be MUCH higher. I tried wrapping the CAI housing and tubing with reflective tape and asbestos wrapping, but I don’t think that helped at all. Still had the same temps. Our L15-series engines run notoriously hot. You will lose boost repeatability if not driving in the highway or have an aftermarket front-mount intercooler (FMIC). This is not the CAI’s fault, but rather the Honda engineers’ for not putting a larger factory FMIC. (To be fair though, all Civics except the CTR were created as economy cars.) To counter this heat-soak issue, get a FMIC. I don’t have one myself, but check all the serious CivicX forums and they’ll tell you 27Won and PRL make the best FMICs. That’s my next mod. Bottom line: don’t sleep on this product—get one! PS: A lot of people will champion the PRL Cobra CAI, but remember the filter will only sit mere inches from the ground. If you live in a swampy area or an area that sees heavy rainfall or floods, I wouldn’t recommend it—even with a moisture sock. You do you though. ... show more

I’ve only ever heard good things about this air intake & it precedes its reputation! I originally only hair a muffler & resonator delete so my car was already loud. Without saying this made the sound better and the performance is better. The quality is good, the price is great compared to other, and it adds some color under the hood. Not so good parts looked used and the filter adapter didn’t fit at all through the heat shield or on the filter upset sence I can’t intall it

I didnt get a mass airflow adapter to my 2018 civic sport. Everything else came as expected. But I cant run the intake without that piece.
