  • Absolutely Worth the extra Money
Ok. Overall Cold air intakes are a controversial subject in the performance world, So I was skeptical of there 15hp claim. That being said this is a must have for your 3.6 Camaro, there is a clear difference in sound and power on acceleration. It's not really noticeable on idle or start up but when u get on it, um yeah I'd say there 15hp claim is very true mabey even more. This intake pulls in SO much air its ridiculous. There's a nice little growl at 2-3k Rpms while cruising. Definitely do this intake over the cheaper options, nothing compairs. Not a giant difference in mpgs or oil temp but the sound and power are incredible. Don't let the internet tell you intakes are pointless, if they say that idk what there smoking. With the cheaper options that may be true but this, this has a very unique sound and pulls in massive amounts of air in turn giving a pretty nice jump in power. She pulls hard now. Very happy with the purchase. With a pro tune they could get 20 to 30 hp imo. But even without a tune its well worth it. Easy install too, took around a hour. Recommend some heat wrapping on the shield to insure there's no heat soak from the engine bay. Worth Every Penny! ... show more

  • Best Air Filter V6 Camaro
Filter was easy to install following the steps outlined in the instructions. The car is definitely pulling in more air, has more power, and sounds great inside the cabin of my 2014 Camaro LS V6. I will not install any aftermarket exhaust due to the sound inside the cabin.

  • It's one of the top three upgrades you need for your 3.6 liter V6 LS Camaro
Man I gotta say this thing is AWESOME on my 2014 Camaro LS2? I noticed a definite and dramatic difference across the board in sound, gas mileage, throttle response, and horse power, I also noticed a definite increase in air flow just from the sound under the hood, you can really hear it sucking in massive amounts of air.... Throttle response is also amazing, and the engine sounds more solid and the exhaust sound is beefier and has that muscle car growl, the Camaro is a muscle car even the V6 engine models considering they come stock with 323 horses which is about 100 HP more then the 2012 Camaro had, the sound though is the coolest part because now It doesn't just look stalky, beefy, and mean she also sounds and acts beefy and mean.... One thing I did do that wasn't in the instructions was I added a high end heat shielding material to the inside of the AirBox and to the under side and engine block side of the intake tube so it acts more like a cold air intake system now and pushes colder air into the engine, so maybe it helps even more then the standard configuration does? I just know there's a noticeable difference in my Camaro with this setup installed, next upgrade is a throttle control module and a new exhaust system to improve the HP and mileage and throttle response even more, I'm shooting for a 400 HP end result which with this engine is highly doable so by Christmas she's going to be a beast ... show more

2014 V6 2LT, Easy to put on and sounds nice

  • Easy install, clean and great performance gains
Instant throttle response, distinctly noticeable gain in horsepower and that great growl/howl of a free flowing intake. What more can you ask for? Oh yeah, ease of install and GREAT looks. This intake kicks butt across the board. Id recommend running a tap in the pipe thread fitting for the oil breather fitting on the polished tube, and the screw holes for the map sensor mount, as they are very roughly cut into the otherwise flawless part. You might have to mess with the breather hose to get it to fit on the '14, as it seems too long to fit with the intake installed properly. What i did is replace the 45 degree fitting at the back of the breather where it attaches to the head, with the 90 degree fitting that is replaced by the straight one provided with the k&n kit, which I had to shorten 3/4" to make it fit right. Once this was done, the breather hose lies where it should, and doesnt pinch the hose shut above the valve cover in the back of the engine. Looks like they need to change the kit up a little for the '14 but it literally took me 20 minutes to install this system. Oh, be warned, you must trim your engine cover a bit to make it clear the tube. You will be cutting about 1/2" off the corner of one of the tabs that comes down. Easy way to do that, score it with a razor, nice and deep, making your first cut nice and straight and pretty, then snap with pliers, clean up the edge where it was scored. Cant tell its been cut. ... show more

  • Really nice sound and fairly easy to install.
This took me a couple hours to install just because I’m not very experienced with this sort of thing and I like to take my time to get it right. There were a couple extra tools needed to complete the job that the instructions don’t mention: 2.5mm Allen wrench for the new MAF sensor screws, knife/scissors/snips to cut the edge trim, and an open end wrench to turn the plastic NPT vent tube 2 full turns (I forget what size). You’re also going to need something to trim the engine cover as it will interfere with the new air tube. I used a Dremel with a cutting disc and it worked very well. Might also be able to use a grinder with a cut-off disc but the Dremel is probably better for small, detailed trimming like this. I really wish they had sent an elbow for the vent tube instead of just a short straight piece of hose. The plastic vent tube you install mainly points upward while the stock vent tube runs horizontal which makes the whole stock vent tube assembly want to flex higher than normal, pushing against the underside of the engine cover. Not a big deal, though. If it becomes an issue, I’ll just hog out some material from the bottom of the engine cover and maybe take a small hole saw to the front edge to make the vent hose fit better. I also wish they had sent the exploded parts diagram on a separate sheet of paper than the rest of the instructions. They printed everything on both sides of each sheet which means flipping pages back and forth to figure things out. I ended up just making a copy of the exploded diagram on my printer and that made things a lot easier. The sound is great but I’m not sure if I feel the difference in HP. But that might just be me. I’m sure it’s there. At least some of it, anyway. All in all, I’m really happy with the whole thing. Good stuff. ... show more
