  • Great Investment Great Investment
Style: Roto Molded
Fit, form, and function are all PERFECT. I wrapped up the installation late in the evening and managed to reinstall the MAF sensor backwards (don't do that!) so the initial startup was less than desirable, but my mistake was obvious and easily fixed. Once everything was corrected, the truck started right up and purred like I was hoping for. That purr turns into a growl on the freeway and reminds me of my younger muscle-car days. I installed it along with the addition of an AFM disabler and so far I'm seeing a slight (like .5) increase in MPG. I'm sure there's a little more there but it's still too early and too fun to get on it for an accurate overall increase. The instructions are decent. I did resort to some YT videos, and I was a little disappointed that some things weren't preassembled as they easily could have been, but nothing worth docking a star for. All things considered, I would definitely recommend this mod. The extra airflow and power boost is well worth this minor investment! ... show more

  • The BEST addition to your truck
Style: Roto Molded
While many will say they add this to their truck for horsepower gain or to improve fuel economy, those are things you really just explain to your significant other or non-truck people. Because the reality is we all want the growl and purr. K&N delivers like they always do here. Put this on a '23 5.3 TrailBoss LT2 and she thunders. The sound is awesome, even at start up. Installation was easy and will be contingent on your vehicle. GM makes you jump through 10+ hoops to get to seemingly easy or normal access points, so give yourself 2-3 hours to complete the job. Once you have the stock pulled off and the compartment open, it is maybe a 5 minute swap job. If they had a bigger or a louder one, I would buy it in a heartbeat. ... show more

  • Easy install, sounds great. Puts warning on the dash though. Easy install, sounds great. Puts warning on the dash though.

2020 GMC Sierra AT4, 6.2L. Straightforward install, even with somewhat unclear instructions. Sounds great, loud but I like it. I haven’t noticed any mileage increases but the top end power Defenitly improved. My only issue is that the “Check engine air filter system” warning keeps coming on every time I start the truck now. It isn’t a check engine code so no light comes on, just a warning to check the air filter that can be cleared. More of an annoyance than anything. If anything changes I will update my review. ... show more

  • Great addition to any truck
Style: Roto Molded
This thing is the absolute worst idea to ever put on my truck. The problem is now it sounds even more aggressive and throaty when I step on the gas so all I ever want to do is put my foot to the flor. I have yet to notice an impact to gas mileage from this but the installation was really simple and fit flawlessly. Pay attention to the screws in the directions and you'll have no problems. The filters are great and definitely recommend them for any car enthusiast. ... show more

  • Legit upgrade
Style: Roto Molded
So just wanted to say that I installed this intake on a 2021 Chevrolet trail boss with a 6.2 liter. The description calls for a 19-20 year truck but it does work with a 21. Second make sure you disconnect your battery first step. Negative terminal only removed 10 mm I believe. That way you don’t throw a code, I did this and haven’t had a problem with my check engine light. The instructions are bad lol. Very vague don’t explain anything. If you don’t have a way to watch you tube videos you can follow the steps on instructions and the front page kind of gives a break down on the nuts and bolts washers etc used. When I was watching a video that helped a lot to remove the old system when it was time to build the new one it looked completely different then the one I was sent even tho it was the same model so I switched to the paper instructions and figured it out. It took me roughly 90 minutes between watching videos messing around trying to get clips off and what have you. Make sure you have a metal 90 degree pick tool. I did not and had a hell of a time getting a harness unclipped which led to more time wasted. I ended up using a paint can opener and got lucky. Nice to have a push pin extractor too for the little black push pins looks like a little pry bar with a two prong fork on the end. Good luck I’m definitely mechanical and use my hands for work. This took me longer than I expected but wasn’t hard by any means but give yourself more time then you think. Things are tight and not very well explained adding time to the process That being said. It does add power for sure, the sounds when you step on it makes a great growling sound that will make you smile. The 6.2 liter really wakes up. It does not make it loud if your under 2k rpm. When I start the truck with remote start it’s the same level of sound. You really only hear the difference when you step on it. ... show more

  • It works & fit perfect
Style: Roto Molded
I have had CIA's in the past. They do make a SLIGHT difference. This one was purchased for a 2022 GMC sierra with a 5.3 liter. The factory system must have disrupted the air flow terribly. This system made a hugh difference in throttle response. Obviously, you will hear more noise because the filter is not enclosed but it still utilizes the factory induction tube from the front grille. I'm not sure about fuel milage yet as I just installed it and went for a test drive. The truck is bone stock at this point..... IT DOES WORK!!! ... show more

  • Noise
Style: Roto Molded
When I bought this, I did expect engine to sound louder which was ok with me and one of the reasons I bought, however, what I didn’t expect is the chatter noise between shifts. Sound happens during moderate acceleration at the RPMs peak just before shifting to next gear, kinda sounds like misfiring. My wife even complained about it when she drove it once or twice. I put the OEM part back in and problem went away. Was installed on 2020 Trail Boss LT. Can’t really say much about mileage as I was hauling a trailer most of the time so I expected lower. Didn’t have it long enough to compare without trailer. Installation was for the most part easy if you’re mechanically inclined, took me about an hour. I returned just before 30 day mark. ... show more
