I absolutely love this cold air intake on my 2017 Chevy Malibu. The turbo actually is utilized to its full potential due to the increased air flow. The best way I can describe it is that my Malibu now make the Lightning McQueen "Ka-chow" noise now. I've had people ask me what that sound is when I'm on the hands-free phone as I've been driving, so the sound is definitely an improvement. Installation was fairly easy, except for the CCV that needs disconnected from the factory air intake. The tool that K&N includes with the kit is absolute trash. It didn't work for me at all. I ended up having to use a standard screwdriver to pry it from the old air intake. Without that issue, installation would have been less than 30 mins. I ended up buying the K&N air filter cover a week later just for added protection. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. 2017 Chevy Malibu 1.5 this was pretty easy to install the sound is amazing you do hear the turbo more and the blow off valve more too

Great product. I wasn't sure about spending the extra money for a k&n air intake but decided to try it. I am very glad I did. I have bought some no name air intakes and have always had to do some customizing to get them to fit good. And the k&n is spot on fits perfect great quality looks and sounds better than any other ones. I would definitely buy again for any other vehicle. The extra money for a k&n is worth it. ... show more

Just the turbo sounds you gain from this is worth it! Gets you lots of looks and people asking what size turbo you're running! All that from just the stock tiny turbo the 1.5t has.

    • Great product but could use some changes.
This is a great intake system since it’s made specially for your car. It looks amazing and sounds great especially on turbocharged vehicles. I noticed a pretty big difference between the performance after installing. And I didn’t have any factory air filter I had the k&n air filter before this. This opens the system up fully and you can hear the turbo. Only downside I have is it is a pretty snug fit and it can rattle against your car a bit. Just make sure you don’t leave any gaps and you tighten the clasps as much as they will go or you will have a vacuum leak and your engine will keep throwing lean codes. That’s another thing is depending on the car if you don’t get it tuned (which I didn’t) you will have periodic check engine lights until the system adjust ... show more

Item did not fit vehicle. Bolt patterns did not Match. Vacuum line hard hose is cheap plastic. Got two full turns and it broke on the threads. Intake it’s self is far to short to reach into heat shield.
