    • What an awesome cold air intake!
I installed this intake onto my 1999 Z28 Camaro. It was very easy to do and the instructions were very easy to understand. The only parts I had trouble with was removing my MAF sensor from my old stock intake. And removing my IAT sensor from my resonator was tough as well. Other than that this K&N intake was very easy to install on my LS1 powered beast! I don't have a ram-air hood so I don't think I get the full effect of this cold air intake. My camaro hood right now is the stock flat hood. I plan on getting a aftermarket SS carbon fiber ram-air hood soon! I've heard that this K&N intake will make your intake air temperature shoot through the roof. I dunno how true that is. I guess if you have a ram-air hood then you won't have to worry about that because the hood would be ramming cool air into the intake anyways. Without a ram-air hood I guess this intake does become a "heat-soak". That's what I've heard at least. People were telling me to just get a SLP lid/bellow and use that as a intake instead. I opted to go with this K&N intake anyways lol. ... show more

Easy instlation with easy to follow instructions. Very fast delivery. Could feel an imediate horsepower. I would recomend K & N to anyone.

    • Nice but should have went with the SLP version
This is a nice second but the tests I've seen show the SLP version doing better in comparisons. I used this for years though because it was too expensive for a small gain.

Love this intake, it's clean and simple just like it should be and you can't beat a lifetime filter. Take care of it and it will take care of you. Fitment is perfect and had no difficulty what so ever with installation into a 2001 Camaro Z28.
