  • ... and made final decision towards this one and I like it.
I had selected 2 similar models of K&f Concept tripods (Carbon Fiber one and this) and made final decision towards this one and I like it.. pretty compact when folded, lightweight ( I don't think CF will be much lighter) and pretty impressive when extended to it's maximums. Preference to this model was given based on feature of it's center bar to extend and convert to horizontal (pretty useful feature sometimes)... as of cons: if you extend all the legs fully (inclusive last thinnest ones) in bottom 2 leg lock positions it becomes little bit shaky as it doesn't have lower horizontal support bars (like umbrellas), but in either lower positions you don't need them to be extended unless you are very tall basketball player, as with just 2 bigger section legs extended fully and center bar up and extended fully it goes over 6 feet in height, plus camera on top. Another "con" is aluminum quickly gets pretty cold, especially in this freezing weather and don't ever try to lick it :) as both "cons" refer to all the similar tripods, this is not definitely manufacturer or product quality issue and if you use camera dolly for tripods, stability issue is solved. As of suggestions, would be great if it was coming with spare camera mount adapter (the part which screws to the bottom of camera), so if you use either 2 cameras or use camera with regular and long range lens (in this case lens is attached to tripod), you should keep those adapters mounted on your equipment and easily and quickly change over... Another design suggestion is if some of tripod manufacturers gets camera mount adapter designed the way it can hold camera quick install screws (like this https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00BXTTMLU ), so you can keep both adapter and screw attached to the camera all the time.those plate type quick installs aren't that practical as those small screws. All in all, I'm more than happy with this tripod. definitely price/quality ration is perfect, taking into account that similar tripods go up to 400-900 $... and waiting for my D850 and little bit warmer weather to go out hunting for perfect sights... :) And one more, it came with carry case, which has nice design, made of durable material and has light reflective strips, so you don't lose it at night :) I was thinking to wear tripod attached to my camera backpack, but now I'm thinking how to attach tripod case to backpack :) ... show more

  • It has some awesome features that you’re not going to get with many ...
This is one of the coolest tripods I’ve ever had the pleasure of using. It has some awesome features that you’re not going to get with many other tripods. One of my favorites things about this tripod is the detachable mono-pod leg. It unscrews quickly and easily which is great for a quick setup. The ball head is really solid, it’s sturdy enough that you can keep your camera steady even with a lengthy lens attached. It also has an amazing range in height capability due to the 180 degree turning legs. With the legs and middle column fully extended this tripod stands over six feet tall, and with the legs flipped upside down the rod reaches down extremely low to ground, making it perfect for macro photography. I should mention that this tripod’s main use will be found in photography, it can be used for videography as well, but is not a traditional videography tripod. Another thing I like about this tripod is because of how much range the legs have, this tripod can get low down to the ground, and in some cases, is a great substitute for a high-hat. The tripod overall is intuitive in its use, the only feature I had trouble figuring out at first was the middle column’s horizontal feature. After playing around with it for a while I was able to figure it out and now love using it. Another great thing about this tripod is how light weight it is. My other tripods are far heavier and can be a real hassle to bring with me to go to my shooting locations, so the fact that this tripod is so compactable and light weight makes it convenient to take with me. The carrying case has real clean look to it as well and is super comfortable to wear. Overall this an awesome product that does a really great job at covering all its bases in terms of versatility for photography usage. The quality is stellar despite its low cost, and is a purchase you are NOT going to regret. ... show more

  • Well built and sturdy but a tad heavy
This tripod is well built and very sturdy, but that comes at the cost of being a bit heavy. I am a big guy so carrying a bit more weight does not bother me but could be an issue for someone smaller. But again, for the price this is an excellent tripod!

  • It's a Keeper, Excellent product with great Versatility and Quality !
The quality of the product is very well made, and all the functions it offers plus the additional versatility that you have to be able to change it to different setups and size is excellent, plus is being a tripod monopod combo is great ! I believe that the weight is perfect, I think if it was lighter in weight I would not be comfortable in attaching my camera to it. I can't totally review the wear and tear of it or any problems as of yet, obviously because I just got it. If I was to want something else added, I would have to say it would be to have the option to have removable spike feet for the bottom of the legs, in addition to having the rubber ones that it comes with, and a normal quick release plate function I feel would have been better, when attaching the camera to ball head and not the screw tighten release plate that it has now, but even with it not having this, I am still very happy with it. There is one more thing that I have to see how it pans out in the long run before saying anything ... So, as for me personally, over all I give this Tripod a rating of 95% right out of the box ! It's a Keeper ! ... show more
