I think this is. beautiful piece and my clients ask where I got it. Fed ex hauled it to my porch it's a bulky 125 lbs. I opened the box and unloaded each piece and put in my car/ back seat folded down so I could transport it to my office. I then took the manual and sorted and counted the pieces. 1. You need a Phillips throughout majority and a flat head for a small portion. They include all the parts otherwise with Allen wrench. A lot uses the Allen wrench. 2. Manual is pictures only. Page 2 where it shows you where to put the dowels in. You are not putting it together yet, you are just applying glue on the dowel and placing the dowels in and setting it aside. I sorted and counted everything first. 3. The hardest part: once mostly assembled the doors are one of the last pieces to put on. the brackets for the middle of the console (door attachment site) so left side (right door) and on the right (left door). The holes for the hinges were not deep enough. So either get a drill or do like I did and take an extra screw that is similar in size (extras left over in your kit) and longer and with a little elbow grease and strength create a bigger hole. I had to do this several times ( screwing the longer screw in , unscrew and try the hinge screw then re do the steps until the hinge screw went in all the way flush) just to be able to get the screw to go in all the way If it doesn't your hinges are loose and so your door will not be flush. That was my only difficulty. Took me a day and a half by myself with nothing but an Allen wrench and a Phillips and flathead. You can do this solo but it might go a lot faster with two ppl. and maybe having a drill for the cabinet part. It's a beautiful piece for the price. it's got the cardboard like backing for the back and bottom of drawers but it's all the same color of the piece. It looks expensive. If you don't have time to put it together I would say it's worth paying double to buy at a furniture store and have it already assembled and delivered.

The purpose for me buying this wasn’t meant for the standard use. We live in a house that doesn’t have much space for any kind of dining area. We had an old “kitchen island” we were using, but it was cheap and needed to be replaced after 9 years. Of course, space being limited, I decided to DIY one. That’s where the sideboard/buffet comes in. I needed something sturdy to hold pots/pans/glass baking dishes while also saving on space. After doing a lot of research, with my specific measurements, this is the one i decided on and I’m incredibly glad I did!!!! I needed one that had solid shelving and a lot of storage. As many others have said, it is tedious putting together. It took me about 6 hours solo. I unpacked everything and put them in order for ease of locating and accessing. I also took my time to make sure I did it right. The instructions are fairly straightforward: just a picture tutorial. You will need a Phillips screwdriver and I also used a flathead to tighten some of the other hardware (you’ll see when you get it). I still have one door I need to tighten, but by the end, my hands were cramping and my back hurt from bending over. I added the stainless steel top. All in all….it’s perfect!!!

I have build perhaps a hundred pieces of furniture over my years, all types for all rooms from all over. This is actually the best quality piece of slap together furniture I’ve ever built. I was amazed at how every piece fit and attention to how every bit is overly reinforced for strength. It was a serious build job and took me a solid 3hrs with my experience to complete. In the end it looks like, feels and works like a major store bought thousand dollar piece. I’m amazed, wife can’t believe it came in a box, no one that has seen it or touched it believes it’s not solid wood constructed.

We purchased this cabinet for a coffee buffet area. It really looks good in our home, and we love it. Its large enough for what we purchased it for plus there is storage for other things. You may be asking why the 3-star review on something that we love? It was extremely tedious to construct. Yes, with common tools and a little common sense almost anybody can assemble this cabinet. I myself spent 6 hours on a Saturday morning putting this GEM together. It may take you less time or more who knows! I took coffee breaks and had my breakfast so I really don't think the average person would take much longer. However, during the final steps of installing the 2 outer cabinet doors the screws split the laminate wood all the way down from upper hinge to lower hinge. It still holds the doors in place, but the screws do not tighten up. This makes it almost impossible to align the doors. I could have reached out to the manufacturer for replacement parts, but I would have to disassemble the cabinet and possibly damage other things. So, the plan is, for now, to glue the laminate and clamp it till it dries and redrill the hinge fastener holes. I would not order this cabinet again if I need to replace it. I love it but I really don't think it's worth the money, assembly time or repair time.

This is not a solid wood so do understand what this material the corner edges can be less than perfect and could peel if you're not very careful with this. We purchased a ceiling to put on it but we're in the middle of some remodeling haven't gotten it done yet. It did take hours to put together but my husband is very meticulous when working on things. Everything lined up perfectly. My husband did compliment the directions because there were pictures without words, making them less confusing. He'd love the directions!
