This is the finest and most versatile automatic espresso machine I've ever tried. The espresso and coffee that it produces are constantly excellent. The ability to switch between caffinated and decaf is a game changer for me. I tried a number of other machines and returned all of them before purchasing and keeping this machine.

Don’t kid yourself: All coffee makers are not created equal. JURA is simply “next level” and consistently makes the best cup of coffee I’ve ever had, regardless of what or how I chose to drink coffee. The J8 has a number of features and quite honestly, it may take me the rest of my life to figure out/discover. Treat yourself to one of life’s best. You deserve to start and finish your day with the best cup of coffee you’ve ever had.

We received the Jura J8 Twin Diamond as a wedding gift, and I’m not saying it’s my favorite wedding gift… but my husband and I both know where we stand in the ranking. After a couple of weeks of use, I can confidently say this machine is a perfect fit and makes ridiculously good coffee. First Impressions: The size surprised me. For something that feels like it should require its own electrical substation, the footprint is actually pretty small—about the size of a family-sized air fryer. It fits perfectly under our cabinets, and we added small casters so we can easily pull it out when it’s time to refill the bean hoppers. Coffee Quality: The coffee is phenomenal. Not “good for a machine.” Not “better than drip coffee.” Actually phenomenal. Every cup tastes like someone who takes coffee very seriously made it specifically for me. My husband like black coffee, Americano's to be specific. He talks about beans, and notes, and roundness, and lolw acidity, and odoriferous emanations. I talk about sweet creamy goodness that feels warm in my tummy. The Jura satisfies both of us. The Milk Situation: After using it for a couple of weeks, we’re definitely adding the Jura milk chiller. Without the chiller, you’re constantly putting the milk container back in the fridge and cleaning the milk hose. It’s not difficult, but it does become part of your daily routine. With the chiller, it becomes a closed system and eliminates most of that juggling. We also added an auto-fill valve so the water stays topped off automatically. One additional change we made: we removed the water filter because our house water is already filtered. No sense filtering filtered water. A Small Reality Check: If you’re expecting this machine to produce a giant 16-ounce gas-station coffee in one button press, this is not your machine. The maximum coffee size is about 8 ounces at a time. For example, if you want a Starbucks-style Venti Americano, you’re making roughly 2½ coffees. In practical terms, you’ll be pressing that beautiful touchscreen about three times. This is not a “pot o’ coffee” machine. This is a “personalized artisan cup of happiness” machine. Accessories We Didn’t Know We Needed: We quickly discovered that most large travel mugs won’t fit comfortably under the spouts. Our solution? Espresso pouring cups with little spouts. We brew into those and then transfer the coffee into my husband’s travel mug every morning. Problem solved. We also bought syrups and started making sweet cream cold foam creations that have dramatically reduced our desire to visit coffee shops. I’m pretty sure we’ve accidentally opened a small café in our kitchen. Noise Level: One thing that shocked me is how quiet it is. I can be on a phone call while making coffee, and most people don’t even realize the machine is running. Of course, they also don’t realize that my attention has shifted entirely from the conversation to watching sweet cream slowly emerge from the spout like liquid gold. You gotta have priorities in life. The One Thing It Doesn’t Do: There is no auto-on feature. No timer. No “Bob’s Brew at 8:00 AM.” No magical coffee fairy preparing your drink before your feet hit the floor. The first cup of the day requires you to physically get up, turn on the machine, and place a cup underneath it. After that, I just leave an emergency cup there and use the app. And a minute later my coffee is served - just like a starbucks but my name is spelled right on my mug. Again, because this isn’t a coffee maker. It’s a robotic barista that refuses to start work until you show up. Reliability: I purchased the two-year warranty, but almost everyone I’ve spoken with who owns a Jura has had theirs for 6–10 years or more. That made me feel pretty good about the investment. Final Verdict: The Jura J8 Twin isn’t for people who want quantity. It’s for people who want quality. If your dream is a giant pot of coffee sitting on a warmer all day, keep shopping. If your dream is pressing a button and having a tiny Italian engineer craft a personalized masterpiece while you stand there half-awake in your pajamas, this machine is worth every penny. Five stars. Also, my husband and I may need couples counseling because we both love this machine a little too much.

I have had a Jura for over 30 years and have loved them. It makes the best cup of coffee, both fancy and plain. I have had very few problems with any of them. This id my fourth one. I bought this one because finally I don’t need to worry when I just want decaf as this machine has two bean hoppers so I keep decaf in one and caffeinated in the other. I would highly recommend this machine.

I love my Jura J8 Twin. It has so many settings so you can have your coffee the way you like it. I like that I can have decaf coffee and my sister can have regular without emptying the bean container to change beans. You have 2 bean containers so you can have different beans in each one!

It's a great machine, wife was kind of iffy but after a single latte she was sold... that milk froth! (it's perfect) Only worrying things is the frothing kind of failed a few times (works if you hold the milk higher? suction issue?) and a few times it has demanded we empty the drip tray when it was totally unnecessary. (Some contacts I need to clean? Not sure) Being able to make a half decaf turns out his the most useful thing in the world when controlling caffeine intake. Anyway, if you can stomach the price, your mouth will thank you. Update May 31st, 2025: Well, I'm dropping it a star. The milk system finally completely died, even after ordering official replacement set for the tubes and lots of cleaning. Unfortunately Jura Japan refuses to service this model so there isn't much we can do. I haven't tried to see if Jura US would service is, but considering the shipping... So maybe don't buy it if you live in Japan, I guess they don't sell this model here and don't offer any solutions for it. Update June 16th, 2025: Ok, Jura Japan has said "because you bought it in America, we will never service it for you here, even if we do sell the same exact machine". The cost to send a heavy thing like this to the US and back is insane so that's pretty lame. Don't buy and move to another country I guess. I dropped two more stars for this, I mean c'mon, for this price, Jura Japan should really offer service on American sold machines and vice-versa.
