Don't ask me how, but there's literally a hole in the box spring on my side of our king size bed. I bet it's from all those times I jumped into bed knee first, darn! Or it's because it's my boyfriend's old bed and who knows what he did to it before it entered my life. His side is just fine, mind you. Hmmmmm. Nonetheless, it makes it quite uncomfortable to sleep at night when your bottom sags down in your mattress. I researched new box springs, which are really expensive! And those bed savers with air pockets, those just looked too involved. So we ended up deciding to just plan on getting a new bed together. But in the meantime, I needed some relief! I was watching TV one night and saw an infomercial for those furniture saver slats. You know the one where they have two sumo wrestlers sit on a couch and LOOK, it doesn't sag! So I started to wonder if they had something like that for a bed. I found other similar items that were really expensive before coming upon the Mattress Support Folding Bed Boards 30"x60" . It's a more cost effective option for a first time trial I thought. I got it home, opened it up and thought there wasn't much to it and wondered if it would make a difference. It's literally just a folded up piece of cardboard, I thought can't I just get a refrigerator box and stick it under my mattress? But then I figured it must be a bed board for a reason and must be reinforced to allow support. You just unfold it and slide between your mattress and box spring. So I slid it in, covered that ghastly hole and laid down. Wow! It really does make a difference! My mattress doesn't sag anymore and it actually makes the mattress feel more solid. It even makes it easier to get in and out of. And I don't hear that clunk sound from the broken wood in my box spring when I enter the bed knee first. So great buy and it saves you so much money and brings so much comfort!

About 2 weeks ago, I had a futon sofa bed delivered to replace the twin size bed that I was sleeping on. After assembling the frame and putting the futon mattress on it, I tried it out. Slept on it for about a week, but after a while, I began to feel a few of the cross rails! Was going to buy another mattress at first, but then I decided to look into getting and trying out a mattress board to see if it would help solve the problem. Then, after looking here on Amazon.com, I found what I thought would be the perfect solution to the problem!! I ordered two of the Matress Support Folding Bed Boards. They came this morning, and I unpacked them, layed them out and put them on the bed's fold-down frame. And what a diffrerence they make!!! The bed now feels almost like a platform bed!! Can't feel the rails through the mattress now!! Great back support as well!! I owe it all to the Mattress Support Folding Bed Boards for making my futon sofa bed feel like a bed and not like I'm sleeping on a bench!!! It's light in weight, folds into a compact size for traveling, but is very durable and it lets you get many a restful night's sleep!! Glad I got them now!!! If you have a full-size bed, then make sure that you order 2 of them. With both under the mattress side by side much cover the whole bed!!!

Bought this to take on vacation and it worked out well enough. I have back problems and have a mattress at home that is firmer in the middle. Hotel mattresses can be really saggy and soft and we were travelling for 2 weeks. I used it in most of the hotels we stayed in. However most of the time I only unfolded it once in the middle to make it firmer. On one especially saggy mattress, I didn't unfold it at all and slid it in and it worked well. It was lightweight which was a plus for travel. It was made out of cardboard as mentioned by other reviewers and I don't know how it would hold up over the long run which is the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars. But for the 2 weeks I used it on vacation it was a back saver, easy to take with us and definitely worth it.

So these do work. Exactly as advertised and described but Im not sure for how long they will work ...but simply put ..they are stiff cardboard probably 4 ply ..taped all around.and foldable to store.Look close at the pic before purchasing. Im hoping they last but the cost for the product (75$ for 2 cardboard foldables size twin) is way too high for the materials used ...If your looking to use as a platform board I would pay twice the amount and go for the traditional bunky board. However again these do work great between a mattress and box spring. (Ps would be great for a pull out sofa bed) So I will keep them . Fingers crossed.

I bought these for my son's full size bunk bed. His previous futon mattress for that bed has sunk in the middle causing him to feel the rails. I ordered him a new mattress as well, but these came in first. So i put them under the existing mattress, and it made a huge difference. He still needed the replacement mattress, but I believe had i bought these when he originally got the first mattress, it would have lasted must longer. Now it's under his new full size memory foam mattress, and it is absolutely wonderful.. completes the feel of the mattress on a sturdy platform, and the mattress cannot sink into the rails. That alone makes this purchase worth it. I will be buying two more sets soon, one for my younger son's twin bunk bed, and another set for my queen size bed. LOVE THIS PRODUCT!
