I absolutely LOVE this machine! It's a total workhorse and sews over multiple fabric layers like a dream. I am an experienced quilter and I feel this has just the right balance of mechanics and computerization. The only things I would change would be to add a button for the thread cutter and change the accessibility of the accessory arm which attaches to the machine. I don't know who designed it but it's awful to get to my tools, etc without dumping the box. So I made some small quilted baskets and put everything in those. ... show more

It's a great machine. I am learning with it and I've had a few bumps along the way but the instructions that come with it are worth keeping around. The instruction book has helped me fix all of the problems that I have come across so far. I am new to the sewing world but this machine is great.

I’m very happy with my purchase of the Juki 5020. I saw a review and demonstration of this particular model on The Crafty Gemini by Vanessa Wilson. It is a sturdy, hard working machine. I highly recommend it to anyone looking to buy an inexpensive, easy to use, basic stitching machine.

I have had machine for about a month so far. So far no problems, makes stitches very well and I like that I dont have to change the stitch length or anything it does it alll by itself Goes over several layers of fabric with ease Love the needle down or up feature Also like that ypu dont have to use foot petal, you can use button feature instead this is good for someone disabled or cant use their foot Also love that I dont have to take out my tjeead to rewind my bobbin, this is so awesome not to have to take thread out amd then re thread All in all I review this a 5 star ... show more
