  • Seems like a good source of supplements
I'm a fan of supplements, but I dislike reviewing them because: a) I don't have a lab to verify the claims. Does this tablet REALLY have the supplements it claims to have? There's no way for me to prove that. b) I can't prove the tablet's benefits without a placebo and a double-blind trial. c) You'll rarely see any measurable or obvious difference within a few days. It usually months or years for supplements to have an impact. d) Even if you do notice a difference, did you control for all the other variables? Maybe you got better sleep, did more exercise, changed your diet, or something else while you were taking the supplement. In short, amateur reviewers should be humble about their evaluations. All I can say is: - JSHealth seems like a reputable company worthy of our trust. - The pills are easy to swallow. - The package is easy to open. - Some studies show that taking these supplements is good for you (but others say they don't do anything). Since I can't find a study indicating that these supplements are harmful, I suggest taking one. ... show more

  • May be good for a moderate Iron Supplement. If low on Iron, look elsewhere.
Large bottle with a fairly good sized piece of foam rubber plug inside that took up 80% of the contents. Why not use a smaller bottle if this barely has any product inside? Because it is easier for some people to hold & open a hand-sized bottle as opposed to a tiny one. The foam rubber plug no doubt kept the product from breaking or rubbing during shipment. Was easy to take with a beverage. Many times I did not have time to eat a snack and did not suffer from any stomach issues - which was a plus for this product. Constipation was low, yet there was some issues at first. Used JSHealth Vitamins Iron+ Supplement every morning. Am used to taking an iron supplement at night, as my doctor recommended to do this before bed. Overall was easy to take, did not bother the stomach even when only having a water or juice. I do highly recommend a Vitamin C Complex for those low on iron. When nutrition is being consumed the body can absorb more iron, whilst not replying on a single vitamin to be the sole remedy. Vitamin C is well known to help the body increase its absorption of iron. Also, for those low on iron, do not take turmeric products. Turmeric is one of those spices that absorbs iron. While turmeric curcumin is known for its analgesic properties, it also robs your body iron. Keep that in mind. ... show more

  • Largish pills, but easy to swallow and no stomach upset
My normal iron pills are wee tablets, coated and easy to swallow. This is more the size of a multivitamin, which is quite the size difference. The main issue that I have with many iron pills is serious gastrointestinal distress. I'm pleased to report that I did not have any issues within 24 hours of taking one of these. Issues crop up with iron supplements fast and hard, so I'm comfortable recommending them based on this test. I'm not sure what daily use may do as I take them only as needed. These also contain a wicked amount of other vitamins, so they're a strong supplement for more than just iron. Over 100% of Thiamin, Riboflavin, and two types of Vitamin B. The does not contain statement is almost as long as the ingredients - they're free from animal products, artificial colors, and many allergens. Nice. The bottle has a white foam sort of material instead of the expected wad of cotton. I have long, dexterous fingers and it still took some doing to wrestle it out. That could be an issue with some. On the up side, I'm totally reusing it as a craft supply. ... show more

  • large but go down easy, no GI problems
These are larger coated tablets. I find that they go down easy and don't start to dissolve the millisecond you put them on your tongue. I have not had any GI issues with these but I do take them at bedtime and so, not on an empty stomach. I've had no GI upset, nausea, gas, diarrhea or constipation, no burping, no aftertaste. I did not get bloodwork before or after taking these so can't tell you that they've cured my constant borderline anemia, but they haven't hurt me either. I love that they're vegan. ... show more
