I must admit that I hope I never need to use this product. Given the state of the world today I view this purchase as an insurance policy. It's better to have this and not need it than to need it and NOT have it! The serving size is the correct dosage. I learned in the military that potassium iodide protects the thyroid gland from radiation if exposed to high levels of radiation . The potassium iodide is great to have in your first-aid kit for emergencies regarding radiation exposure.
