Got this on my wife's 2021 VW Tiguan and install was super easy with the instructions and took maybe 15 min tops and half of that was me being super particular about the spacing to match my Subaru exactly so transferring roof based racks was even easier. They look just like oem racks too. Added them to our 2024 VW Tiguan so we could add a luggage roof basket for a 2000 miles trip. They work fine holding cargo all the way. No issues Easy to install, light weight and blend in with the vehicle’s aesthetics. Pretty similar performance compared to pricier OEM’s we had in our previous car.

Seems solidly built and was easy to install on my 2019 VW Tiguan. I bought it to mount a cargo basket, and it’s been great for that. Only possible flaw is that it seems like there’s more of an upward curve to the front bar than the back. Possibly intentional?

The roof rack was easy to install and secure and even take off if needed. The item's biggest 5 Star is because it seamlessly meshes into the vehicle and does not look like an add-on and instead becomes part of the overall look of the vehicle. the rack also allows for the sunroof to open and close. I’ve had every iteration of Yakima and Thule crossbars and mounts on my cars since 2002 and I can attest that these extruded aluminum aero bars and towers are the real deal - nothing sacrificed in terms of quality or appearance. For starters, the finish on the products is very good, with the cross bars having the exact same black anodized finish, and the towers have really nice features like the aerodynamic flow, and that the locks/keys are included. (A significant up-charge with the other brands). The towers also have directional arrows to make sure they are installed correctly, and the bars have labels ensuring the system goes together without error. The instructions are easily followed, and they have included good visuals. Give yourself 1 hour to install the first time, and then you will be able to remove and install inside of 15 minutes easily. One tip I suggest is that when you get your bars loosely set where you want them, use some painters tape to set the positions of the towers front/back, and for the cross bars tower connections. This way you can snug the towers’ mounting screws (2) down on each end, and then you can set the whole system back into place before tightening down the tower clamping screw. Zero suggestions for improvement so far, they are quiet on the highway, and will fit my existing cargo boxes, ski, snowboard and paddle board racks that have the aero bar attachment. Great functionality improvement for the car, and an incredible value for money when shopping against the big names in roof racks. I highly recommend! ... show more
