I set up this car shelter on the side of my SUV for a weekend camping trip and it worked really well. The main body is big enough to give plenty of shade and the side curtains make it easy to block wind or create a more private space. The buckles make mounting it to my vehicle simple and I like that I can adjust the height to fit different cars. The mesh windows and roll-up sides let in air so it never felt stuffy and the stakes and hooks kept it stable even when it got a little windy. The fabric seems thick and waterproof so the rain stayed out and the UV protection gave good sun coverage. I liked having the storage pockets and hooks to keep small items organized. It is lightweight and packs up compactly in the bag it comes with which makes it easy to transport. Overall it is easy to set up sturdy and perfect for camping or tailgating.

This is basically a 3-sided floorless tent that works great as a sunshade. It’s lightweight, easy to set up, and takes very little space to store. The instructions are clear and easy to follow, and I like that they’re permanently sewn into the bag, so they won’t get lost. The best part was, amazingly, it all fit easily back into the bag after use. The stakes included are thick and strong. They’re better quality than what I’ve seen included on much more expensive tents. The straps for attaching it to the car were plenty long and allowed for multiple options and mounting points. They’re made from a good-quality plastic that’s sturdy enough not to break and won’t scratch your car. Overall, the quality of the fabric, zippers, and design is good. It’s held up to a moderate breeze, even without all the pieces. Unfortunately, my tent arrived missing one of the 3 fiberglass poles. My photos are of the tent set up without a short overhead pole that’s meant to keep it stretched at the top. It’s still usable, but not ideal. I reached out to the manufacturer via contact info printed on the instructions. In under 24 hrs, I had a reply with an apology that they did not currently have a replacement pole in the correct size immediately available to ship, but they provided the precise measurements for it if I wanted to purchase a replacement on my own and offered a partial refund that would more than offset the cost of the replacement pole. While it’s disappointing that the piece was missing, mistakes happen, and the Joytutus customer service was excellent given the quick response and a better option than having to wait for them to ship me one.
