I've had this portable a/c for about 10 days and so far I really love it. It cools my bedroom down very quickly and keeps it cool. Installation: If you watch the sponsored video on installation you won't even need to look at the instructions. It's so easy it's pretty much self explanatory simply by looking at it. One thing worth noting: when shopping for an a/c one of the key pieces of information missing concerning this product is what size window the vent piece will fit. I have a 44" wide window and the adapter fit fine with about 4" to spare. If you have a narrow window you may have to trim to make it fit but anything fairly wide or standard you should be fine. Use: I have run this under high humidity conditions every night and part of the day for 10 days now and have yet to need to drain the water. It says that it uses some of the collected water to aid cooling so it is either evaporating some of the water in the cooling process or this thing has a very large water tank. Either way it works great and I'm still waiting to see how long until I have to drain it and how much water it's holding. If this thing craps out in the near future I'll update the review but so far I have to say it's an incredible value for the price. ... show more

I’m in a desert state, and this summer has been the most brutal summer yet. The swamp cooler can’t keep up, so I had to get a portable AC and the reviews made this one seem pretty promising. I am not disappointed in its cooling abilities. In fact, it does a really good job at keeping a medium-large bedroom under 70 degF. However, it’s hard to have it running at night because it is pretty loud in my opinion. I’m thinking of buying some night earplugs to accommodate, but I wish it wasn’t as loud as it is. Still, I am leaving 4 stars because I use it in my office too, and it works even better in there because the office is smaller than my bedroom. I have hardwood floors, so the wheels come in extra handy and moving it from room to room is very easy! ... show more

Love this ac. My husband is part penguin and can only sleep in a 60 degree room. We have a large room and this ac cools it all. We only have it on at night but it works quickly to cool the entire space. It was easy to assemble.

Originally item was leaking, but eventually it atopped so i decided to keep it. I bought this back in September and other than the leak it had it worked fine. It is now November and it stopped working . Does not blow any air, when on it sounds like a broken motor & just never “starts up”. Definitely will not buy again. Just money waisted. ... show more

I bought a portable a/c years ago where the drain tube was located within the main exhaust vent, so the moisture would simply drip out constantly as the a/c was in use. I assumed that this model would be a similar set-up...well, you know what they say about assuming! On this make / model, the drainage tube is to be hooked up separately AND either drained by hand or set up for continuous drain when the unit is in HEAT mode (according to pg 16 of manual booklet)...there is NO HEAT MODE. This should be mentioned up-front on Amazon site. It is mentioned late in the manual, but very unclear. I still don't know how the drainage is going to work and if I will end up with a mess on my floor when attempting to do it...or how often, on average, this will need to be done...will I need to tip it or siphon? The manual mentions a drainage tray (pg 16), but this is not in the unit parts (pg. 8). All of his should be up-front to know before I choose to buy! We have a standard vertical slide window. The window kit (the plastic thing that you put in the window for the exhaust vent) needed to be cut with a hacksaw to fit. This was mentioned in the back of the manual (pg.12), but HOW to cut it was indicated. The only mentioned tools needed were screwdrivers. I needed to purchase a hacksaw separately, which I discovered during the assembly fiasco. BOTH OF THESE THINGS MADE THE MANUAL AND AMAZON ADVERT VERY UNCLEAR, INCONVENIENT, AND FRUSTRATING.
