I bought the purple ones. No, they are not particularly bright, but they're purple and they're solar. They are quite long and you get a pair of them. I strung up about 10 sets of them on our docks in november, and they are all still in working order, which for solar is pretty darned impressive. Some have had some quirky issues occasionally: one turned itself off a couple of times and the program setting seems to have been lost. My minor complaint is that there is no explanation about what each mode will look like and it's difficult to get them each in the same mode. Nonetheless, I'm quite pleased with my purchase. These are not going to look like bright 120VAC lights, but for solar, for some cool accent lights, I think they're great.

I love the convenience of solar and they look so pretty. We used them for Christmas along fences and in trees. Look so nice think I will use all year for a little dazzle in the yard. Highly recommend them.

Orders these and I'm in love with them. They were easy to put up and let there solar panel sit in the sun all day and they lit up as soon as it got dark outside. This is my daughter's first real Christmas, and she loved them! Woods definitely recommend and buy again. UPDATE: we had these lights up for 2 and half weeks, they worked beautifully. I was so impressed with them. I was amazed at how long they lasted. They'd come on at dusk and last till dawn.....bright, and beautiful. Now after 2 and half weeks, we had 1 day of over cast and hardly any sun, so I knew that, that night they might not last as along with there not being a lot of sun out that day. They didn't last like they were, but again I expected that, the next day the sun was back, the solar panel was in the same spot where it gets about 8 hours of sun light or at least if we have rolling clouds gets 6hrs.... but again they worked beautifully..... now 4 days after that one day of no sun and they lasted about 3hours. So for 3 days they've sat in full sun light each day charging, and they won't work now.

First off, I love this idea. Solar christmas lights so I don't have to run extension cords. This is great. The lights are bright enough. Not super bright but bright enough. The tricky thing is positioning the panel. It turns the lights off when it detects that it is light outside and on when it's dark outside. You need to position it so that it gets sunlight, but also so the lights themselves (or other lights) don't shine on the panel and trigger the lights to turn off. I wish the panel had an attachable shield to block unwanted light. And obviously this won't work if the panel is covered with snow. The panel has a bunch of different programs for the lights to blink and fade in and out. I assume the battery will last longer with the lights fading on and off as opposed to always on. So far, my lights are still on in the morning before the sun comes up. But Christmas time has the least amount of sunlight, so the struggle is real. Overall I am happy with my purchase and hope to expand the solar christmas lighting next year. Also, if you get a single-colored strand of lights you may be able to use it all year to light up a backyard patio or deck, or a walkway.

I ordered 2 sets at the same time. One set is noticeably longer than the other so I am not sure if we received the set as stated on the package. We strung them up on our fence with both solar batteries next to each other. One set turns on and off every night beatifully. The other set (the short one), we have to press the on button every night for it to turn on. After a few weeks of use, it no longer turns on. I ordered 2 sets of these lights 2 years ago and they still work beautifully. So, poor quality control with 5 stars for 3 sets and 0 stars for the dud. 12-29-20 Update: Returned to Amazon and asked for a replacement. Received replacement quickly and lights work perfectly. Changed to 5 stars for quick replacement. We now have 4 sets of lights that have worked through several snowstorms, torrential rain and 60 mph winds.

So I bought these for my front porch, a way to save money using solar vs electricity. And it has definitely has saved me money. I bought the 200 lights, which were long enough to start from one end of my porch and wrapped all the way the the other end perfectly fine. The lights are beautiful when you're looking at them on your porch or from inside the house. However, they are so tiny and dim that you don't even notice that until you're driving up your street and see other lights on other people houses across the street or a couple houses down from you but you can not see your lights on until you get about 2 houses away. Lol again. They are super nice and beautiful to look at but very hard to see further away. I could care less what other people thought, I was more excited to see them when I pulled up to my house lol.

I used this to light a tree in my front yard, and it worked GREAT. The lights stayed on all night (I was up right before dawn and the lights were still going). Heed the warnings about placing the charger: I pointed mine just about straight up so that passing cars wouldn't activate the light sensor and turn off the lights. The lights will not come on until it is really close to total darkness, so they lit up much later than my other sensor lights. I selected one of the "light show" modes and it had very nice flashing lighting effects. The light bulb colors on my string tended towards red, yellow, and orange, which looked great on my Japanese maple.
