Made in China. The joints seem to hold position well. Other similar style lamps frequently don't hold well according to reviews. I used a Philips Hue bulb; it extends almost flush with the end of the shade, so positioning is a little more critical to avoid glare. I use it for a bedside lamp. I found I can place a cylindrical Echo on the base to save space and it looks decent. Looks very nice, esp. with the bulb dimmed to around 20-30%. The switch is on the cord and would be awkward as I am using it, that is why I am using the Hue bulb. Super convenient! ... show more

This lamp is well made and is a great decorative piece. I got this style to highlight an antique typewriter and it fits perfectly. The light has a golden glow from the inside of the shade. It’s a softer color than extra bright LEDS.

Goes perfectly on my wood desk. Attractive. The light could be a little brighter... the switch is on the cord, which would not be good for my location , but I have it plugged into an Alexa switch

I was hoping for a true golden color to match my golden desk accessories but this lamp is not a true 'gold'. If you are looking for a bright gold color - this will not be it as this lamp color is more of an antique gold. Overall the look of the lamp is just fair.

    • Poor lighting.
But the lighting is very yellow and on and off switch is way down the cord in an awkward place that you have to bend over to the floor to turn on. Would’ve been nicer if the light switch would’ve been on the base.

Good quality lamp, and no assembly needed. Only wish that it had a on/off switch on the light itself, rather than on the electric cord itself. Somewhat inconvenient. Otherwise a quality lamp at a decent price.
