The lamp is a lovely blue & white color - the enclosed lampshade is also white & coordinates well. The lamp arrived safely, but I think it may have been a 'returned' lamp instead of a new, factory-packed lamp. The box had clearly been opened before, and it was also missing the lightbulb that was supposed to be included. Be aware, this lamp is not totally preassembled: the cord is through the lamp base but you must screw the socket assembly to the porcelain base. The only problem with that is that the cord tends to twist inside the base which tends to cause the socket to want to unscrew, so patience is required! Eventually I was able to get it all together. Absolutely love these lamps! They are a little short so I put them on a few books. Very nice looking and love the birds on them. Shades already assembled. Just have to pull cord thru and screw the socket in which isn’t very easy to do w the cord twisting. Nice thick cord though.

I just got the lamp and it’s just as described. I’m totally satisfied. The “tuck-in-the-cord” base is ingenious and allows a very neat display. The slightly textured linen shade displays a classic look when the enclosed build is turned on. The packers deserve honorable mention because it was shipped well protected. This lamp, displayed nicely, will complete easily with the “Taj Mahal” brands. So classy... ... show more

The lamps are a bit smaller than expected but the pattern is beautiful. My main complaint is how the lamps were packaged. The box arrived with minor damage but the lamps were not damaged. The cords and packing material were so jumbled that I almost dropped the lamps trying to untangle them.
