I am familiar with Joico brand of hair products. They are decent, good brand of products. I tried this anti fade serum for almost a week. I don't think I can try it in a long enough period and still submit this review in a timely fashion. This is my experience in the last week. My hair: I just had it colored the previous week to receiving this. My hair is to my shoulders. After a coloring my hair is normally a little drier than usual. I wash my hair every other day. The fragrance: the fragrance is extremely light. This is a good thing for me. It has a fresh clean smell to it. The first time I used it: I used it in dry hair. I squeezed 2 to 3 pumps in my hand. It gave my hair a little shine without it looking greasy. Second time I used it: I used it after shampooing and conditioning. I don't find it moisturized my hair any more than usual. Third time I used it, it was on dry hair. Same experience as day 1. The fourth time I used it, it was on wet hair. This time I followed the rest of my moisturizing regimen for my hair. I found my hair no different. Not oily. Each time in dry hair, I found it gave my hair a little shine. In wet hair, I couldn't tell so much. My color still looks excellent.

You need the smallest dot of this for your hair. I apply it only on the bottom and then sort of work it up. If you use too much, it will make your roots look super greasy. It has keratin and argan oil in it and seems to coat my hair very well before I use a hot iron on it. Lightly scented. The pump works great. You can really control how much come out.

While I don't know that it made my hair vibrant, it did do well in keeping the color from fading too rapidly. Doesn't weigh my hair down, pleasant enough scent. Handy for any dye job.

After getting my hair bleached and dyed a vibrant, neon green a few weeks ago (and spending a fair amount of money), I want to keep my hair looking fab, so I got this Joico anti-fade hair serum as well as the Joico anti-fade shampoo and conditioner. After washing, conditioning and towel drying my hair, I spritzed my hair with this serum and brushed it through and let my hair air-dry. My hair looks fantastic and shiny. Healthy even, considering all the processing I had done to it. I've been using this serum a bit over a week, and my hair is feeling softer and softer. Plus, it doesn't seem to weigh down my fine, thin hair. Pleased with this product!

I’m not usually a fan of hair products that contain silicone ingredients, but gave this one a try. I like what it does for my dry, dyed hair—a pump or two adds instant softness, shine, a pleasant fragrance and UV protection. I combine it with Joico’s anti-fade shampoo, and the combination works well together. I don’t use this serum on a regular basis, but do apply it when I want added softness, more body or will be in sunlight all day. Be aware that the first two listed ingredients in this are cyclopentasiloxane and dimethicone. These silicones are what gives the product its soft feel, but they’re also not water soluble. With continued use, these ingredients tend to coat hair and may eventually leave it looking greasy over time. Dimethicone does have some advantages though—it can also prevent hair breakage and promote a temporary fuller look. I do wish Joico would include a complete ingredient list on their Amazon product page or with the photos—consumers want to know what they’re putting in their hair. I give this anti-fade serum four stars when it is used occasionally.

This is really nice hair oil. There's no way of judging how much UV protection you get from using it. If you spend a lot of time in the sun, it may help prevent your hair from getting brassy. I don't have any way of knowing that. I just know it gives your hair a nice shine. Not too oily. I used it on dry and wet hair. It does have fragrance. It's the last ingredient listed. So, it's not a lot of fragrance. I prefer products without fragrance because they can sometimes make me break out in a rash. Haven't noticed that yet with this one. The scent fades quickly. I only use a tiny amount so it should last me a long time. It did come with oil all over the bottle. But it didn't appear to have lost a large amount.
