I've purchased all three of Redken's heat-protecting products (Big Blowout spray, Big Blowout gel, and Thermal spray (Iron Shape), and this one (Big Blowout spray) is by far the best product. It gives my hair a really nice shine and a smooth feel if I spray it before blowdrying, and it SMELLS WONDERFUL. It's a lovely faint vanilla scent, and I can smell it all through my workday. The gel pulls at my hair too much when I apply it and I feel like I cause a lot of breakage just from putting it in. The thermal spray (#11 Iron Shape) causes my hair to be sometimes too oily or too stiff, especially if you apply it after the blowdry but before the styling tool. The only negative for this Big Blowout spray is that you have to apply it when your hair is damp... but that's no problem for people like me who wash their hair every day! Just buy this one, it's the best. I wish they sold it in larger bottles. ... show more

Might cut drying time but my hair was stiff and like straw. Perhaps not the best for super curly hair. It did relax the curl but it felt like I had some stiffener in my hair.
