Great lights but one thing. The controller does not remember the dimmer brightness level setting when power is removed and then turned back on. Odd thing is it does remember the mode setting such as steady, blinking, etc. but just not the dimmer brightness level setting. This is the only controller where I have ever had this issue compared to other similar types of lights I have. I use a Wyze smart plug to control them along with a lot of other lights and accessories for my Christmas snow village. It was a deal breaker for me to have to get the remote out and readjust the brightness to the lowest setting everyday for just this string of lights. For me, the built in timer is useless because the lights are on all day when someone wakes up to tell Alexa to turn the Wyze smart plug on and then off at the end of the day which is never a consistent schedule. The dimmer brightness level setting is only retained if the built in timer is used. Luckily I had a controller from a different set of lights that had similar voltage and amperage that remembers all settings if power is removed and then turned back on. Not remembering ALL settings if power is removed and then turned back on feels like a ten year ago problem, the solution to this should be a standard feature to have by now on all controllers. ... show more
