  • Great sound
Color: 5 String
Tried these strings for the price. Didn’t expect much, but they sound bright and feel great. They’ve only been on for a week, so I don’t know their longevity, but they’re a must-try.

  • Great deal, good value, unbeatable price
Color: 5 String
Items arrived in a clear bag. Sounds ok as far as bass strings go, I haven't had much experience though so take that with a pinch of salt. Not sure how well I'll hold up, only time will tell....what I can say is that its been almost 2 weeks since changing them and my intonation keeps going off so they're still stretching and settling so just be aware of that..but they seems to be of high quality ... show more

Very good sounding strings for the money.

  • be careful when tuning, but otherwise function
Color: 5 String
the high string is quite easy to accidentally break when tuning, so be extra careful with these strings. once installed they work well enough and were easy enough to actually install assuming you dont break the string.

  • nice tone and feel
Color: 5 String
i found these to be a lighter gauge, lower tension set which is my preference since i am a light-handed player. They have a nice even tone, balanced overtones, and not 'thuddy' or boomy. B-string sounds musical and blends well with the other strings. I've had some brands in the past where the B string sounded very different from the other strings. G string is clear and clean (not sizzly). I can't comment on longivity at the moment since i've only had these for a few weeks. ... show more

  • Basic bass strings.
Color: 4 String
I bought these for an old bass I was restoring and didn't want to spend $50 for name-brand strings, so I risked it with these and I was pleasantly surprised by how good these sound and play. The price can't be beat either, I looked, and this is a great deal.

  • Fine for my purposes
Color: 4 String
I have a couple of basses in my collection, and I guess you have to change them every 15 years or so lol.

  • Ball ends are not that small...
Color: 4 String
I have a 60s Kinston Bass that has been sitting in a case since someone gave it to me in the late 90s/early aughts. It didn't have strings on it when I received it. I recently decided to put strings on it and see if I can get it working. First I tried some Ernie Ball Short Scale 40-100 strings but the ball ends of all of the strings didn't fit the string retainer slots on the bridge. Next I tried these strings since they are described as having a "small ball" end. I do not feel that is an accurate description. These also did not fit. As you can see in the pictures, the ball ends (silver ball in pic) are just barely smaller than the ball ends on the Ernie Ball strings (brass ball in pic). The strings themselves seem to be of acceptable quality (nothing special), probably decent for the price if they had fit this bass guitar. ... show more
