Description

In 2016 we brought you the AT, Andy Timmons artist signature pedal and we're really proud to bring you the next iteration of this phenomenal stomp box, The AT+. The JHS Pedals AT is Andy Timmons signature overdrive pedal that gives Andy his unmistakable lead and rhythm tone. Upon purchasing a JHS Angry Charlie in 2013, Andy began using it as his primary tone and soon after got in touch with Josh Scott about modifying it for his needs. Through going back and forth and tailoring it to Andy’s tastes, the “@“ was born and eventually released into production in 2016. This pedal gives you all the soaring overdrive and distortion that you hear from Andy with plenty of options to craft your tone with your rig. So pay Attention and we’ll see what makes the AT rock.

  • Finally found that sound!
After trying a bazillion overdrive and distortion pedals...this IS it! Perfect pedal IMO for everything I play. Light push or boost, slight breakup, crunch, to searing lead tones. It does it all in a very nice box and great components.

  • Wish I had the AT+ decades ago; a solution for my amp frustration headaches
Quick highlights: - the amount of configurability is insane. For example, there’s a center switch meant to replicate high end tube amps at different wattage - Does the work of multiple other pedal and then some. It’s not just an overdrive pedal, it also acts a tube screamer with its boost button - Matches the sound from the pros b/c it was designed for a pro Andy Timmons who shreds blues & rock - May not be for someone who wants a more metal sound but then I’d just put a metal effects pedal in front of the AT+ b/c it will only enhance your existing sound with its versatility I found this pedal being reviewed next to other high end Marshall in a Box type of pedals & I was blown away at how smooth and warm it made every note. And I was not disappointed when I finally got one myself. Every pedalboard should have this pedal (or something similar). It made the mid to lower range amps I tried it out on sound like amps 10 to 20 times more expensive. I’ve heard it played on even better equipment and it just sounds that much better. So regardless of whether you have a low end or high end amp, have the JHS AT+ plugged into it. It’s solidly built. Worth every penny and then some. ... show more

  • LOTS OF DISTORTION IN A GOOD WAY
I'm a fender clean stratocaster tone guy. This thing is very different than my preferred tone but in a good way. To me this is really a pedal for heavy lead tone that sounds great with delay. This is a lot of distortion. This is not a overdrive or something to play rhythm with. My favorite part about the pedal is actually the boost without the distortion. It pushes my Fender amp just perfect and sounds amazing. Obviously there are probably cheaper ways to have a boost pedal but I thought I would share that anyway. Overall this is a wonderfull pedal. ... show more

  • 2 pedals in one!overdrive and distortion box all in one. Pro's like Andy Wood has it on his board.
Best OD and Distortion with tone! I wish I bought this in the 80's!

  • Looking for a Marshall in a Box? This is it
I cannot praise this pedal enough. Many years ago, I had a sweet JCM 800 which sadly died and was beyond repair. This pedal captures that old magic, but in a pedal. I only use it on the "100watt" mode because I really like and want that headroom. It works well with single coil and humbuckers and responds well to dynamics and volume adjustments on my guitars - clean up is sweet and you actually get that Marshall "bloom" that you can't get without an actual good Marshall. Get it now. ... show more

  • Good pedal for solo players…boost is so so
I returned this item and replaced with a Dirty Little Secret MK3. It’s a great pedal especially rubbing at 18v 100w mode! However I found the bass was lacking a bit, and way too tight for Rhythm guitar. It also didn’t stack well with my other pedals. It’s just it’s own thing really. Has lots of distortion, sounds very hifi Mesa/Marshall like and is for the Andy and Steve Vai lovers. Or a dedicated solo box here. The boost is very low I found, and it is a TS808 style. It will get more mid range and cut bass. But that was my issue, I wish they kept more low end in, and let the boost cut and tighten the bass when engaged. It has a lot of great sustain for solo players, and it works on any amp given the presence knob. It’s pretty much a great being every where and plug into any back line amp…if you like the sound and tour, it’ll save you from any amps you may not like. It also works well with effects like source audio and Strymon. But it’s really just click the one pedal, put some effects and go to solo town. Probably great for worship lead guitar players, and solo players. Your normal every day Rhythm player or player that stacks a lot…may not like it and find it a bit pricey. It may have stayed on my board as a dedicated solo pedal. But at the cost I couldn’t justify it! If the pros outweigh the cons I mentioned grab this pedal! It sounds great, but does have some limitations in the voicing of the low end and low mids. ... show more

  • @ tone
Its sounds fantastic. The boost button works even when the drive is off, so I have a Boss Metal Core turned almost all the way down next in the chain after the @, and the @ is a perfect boost in front of that pedal. PS: The @ doesn’t like being in front of an Ep booster, but is fine after an Ep booster. Very sweet sounding pedal. ... show more
