    • Defective battery. Has been EXTREMELY frustrating trying to get my refund.
I was in the market for a MacBook and based on the reviews I had seen here, figured I could save some money by getting a renewed one. The laptop arrived and ran decently well, but it was immediately apparent that the battery was no good. It would get very hot, and die in just over an hour if I was actively using it. I thought maybe I could get by if I lowered the brightness, ran few applications, etc. The battery was still dying way too quick so I decided to return. When I returned my refund was $500 dollars short. The seller apparently charged a $500 dollar restocking fee without informing me, because the return was past 30 days - despite this product explicitly being backed by the 90-day Amazon Renewed Guarantee. It has now been over three weeks since I returned the item. In that time I have spoke to five different Amazon customer service representatives over phone, email, and chat. Each time I have been assured that I will have a response in 48 hours, and when I call to check I am told no claim was filed. This experience has been beyond frustrating and I would stay away from this seller and Amazon Renewed. ... show more

So far I’m in love. It arrived a day early and it’s pretty much brand new. Very crispy. No dents and two very small, hardly visible scratches. (I searched all over very hard multiple times lol) I’ve only had it for three days, just making sure it works properly doing the basics, but I’m installing software today so I’ll update on how it fully functions for my needs in the near future. So far I’m very happy. UPDATE: 7/26/2020 - I’m still in love with the device! I’ve installed all of my software and it’s still as crispy as day one. No delays. The speakers are loud asf! I just got this MacBook Pro and I so far love it. It’s a little hard to get used to (previously used windows) but I definitely enjoy using it and it’s in great condition. The 2 things that are bothering me though is the battery life and heating. The battery life on this MacBook is mediocre, I find myself needing to charge every few hours. This MacBook gets hot, I was playing a game and I noticed how hot it was getting and how loud it was getting. I was playing Roblox so I didn’t think it was that much of a load on the CPU.     • Good but bad battery
Mac came with minor dents, Battery says “Service Recommended” Charger stopped working. Other than that the computer works really well, it’s fast and doesn’t freeze. it does get hot if your doing a lot at once but I think a lot of computers do that.

Battery life great, sound is great and really louder than my other 2022 MacBook Air which was very very surprising! , imaging great, looks brand new only has two dents on the side.     • Doesn’t last long
i bought the laptop in february, it was marked as refurbished and in excellent condition. it worked just fine for about a month or so, but i was having issues with the spacebar where it would double space every few times i clicked it. annoying, but i got used to it. well, here we are in May, only 2 1/2ish months from purchase and my laptop is stuck in a state of turning on and doing the welcome sound, and then the screening turning black and shutting off. then i press the power button again, if im lucky it’ll take me to the log in screen, and then it’ll shut off again. $500 for a computer that lasted me not even 3 months. where as my older model, which was also refurbished, lasted me 3 years. i am beyond upset at this waste of money. do NOT recommend. ... show more
