When I first opened this up, I was not really happy with the fact that it has no padding of any kind. It's a pressed fibers hard shell, possibly made from remnants of other products, which doesn't really bother me for the outside, but I expected there to be some kind of lining, which it does not have. However, it's made the perfect size to fit my Meta Quest 3, with a ridge raised from the bottom on the inside to hold the main body of the headset in place and keep it from moving around. So it's held in place in a stable manner. I have lens protectors on my outer lenses; if I did not have those, I would be worried about the case scratching the lenses. For the inner lenses that the user views when using the headset, it comes with a protective cover for them. There are places to secure the controllers in place, but this makes me feel like I don't have to worry about what happens if the controllers come loose. I use this for short trips to the gym to use a larger reserved space for the biggest possible roomscale, so this case is suitable for my needs. But I would absolutely not trust it if I were taking this on a vacation by plane or something. ... show more

The case is pretty well made but has no internal pieces that would lead me to believe it is rated for impact. It is a soft felt type material and is the perfect case to just store and keep away from sunlight. If you plan on upgrading your head strap be aware it probably won't fit afterwards. I upgraded recently and this case won't work with it so just be aware of that. ... show more

I got this recently for my quest 3 and it fits amazingly! It is ALMOST too short with the elite strap though so I'm not sure if it would fit the elite battery. My favorite part is that this case is a good deal smaller than the official quest 3 carrying case, though it does mean that you can't fit as many accessories (charger, power bank, etc) but I always bring a bag as well anyways so that's alright. As far as protection I immediately dropped it from chest level onto concrete (for scientific purposes of course...totally not on accident) and the headset was perfectly fine, and the case didn't have any damage either. I absolutely love this case for my Meta Quest headset and controllers! Everything fits perfectly, and it provides excellent protection for my gear. The design is thoughtful, with a storage compartment in the lid, although it's a bit tricky to fit much in there since the lid won’t close if it’s too full. Despite that, it’s still a fantastic case for storing and/or traveling with my Quest headset. I feel confident that my equipment is safe, and it makes transporting everything super convenient.
