UPDATE: The plastic locking mechanism slide right off after two days of use. I give it 2 stars because if you're tall enough to use it at it's default length, it works. If you need to adjust it to make it shorter, do not buy this jump rope. I bought this jump rope at a local sports equipment store about a month ago and use it almost daily. All in all, a good jump rope I would recommend. Jfit built a solid jump rope, but it has a couple of design flaws that keep it from a perfect 5 stars: 1. The 2 piece plastic sleeve bearing which acts as the length adjustment mechanism immediately broke when I tried to adjust the length. The small inner piece uses four prongs squeezed together by a plastic cup piece. When I separated the two plastic pieces to adjust the rope, all four prongs broke off immediately. The larger cup piece still slides over the sleeve to lock the rope length, but I'm worried with continual use the sleeve will lose it's locking ability, at which point the rope becomes useless. If that happens I'll need to alter the review to remove stars. As an aside to this point, the instructions on how to adjust the rope length are so poorly written that I had to call their corporate office and have someone explain how to do it over the phone (spoiler: the end cap of the handle needs to come off first). J/fit, hire some better writers. 2. The cushion handles absorb sweat like a sponge, but do not dry well. They do not separate from the handles, so washing and cleaning them will take effort. I expect these things to get grungy and disgusting to hold after a while; granted, in the middle of a workout that does not matter all that much, but having the ability to clean them would be nice. ... show more
