What's not to like? I gave the auto focus only 4 out of 5 stars simply because it can be just a bit slow. Not critically slow, but a little quicker on the draw would be nice. Aside from that, the only other minor complaint I have is that the locking mechanism can be a bit tempormental and require a little persistance to get it to lock the zoom in place. I susspect that is sort of specific to my lens, as I've not heard anyone else mentioning this issue with their lenses. This would be an absolute dream lens if it apertured to 2.8, and if it did, I'd probably hardly ever remove it from my camera, but alas, you're just going to have to work around a narrower aperture in those lower light situations if you want to purchase this glass. Aside from the items mentioned above, it's a killer deal for what it costs. It's superbly made, solid, and for the 150-600mm zoom, it's pretty compact and very reasonably priced. For those of us that don't have $20k to spend on a super-telephoto lens with a 2.8 aperture, you just can't beat this alternative. Most definately would recommend this lens. It's a steal.

Fantastic and stunning photos

My son wanted this lens for his camera. He says It is a good lens but doesn’t understand why camera equipment has to be so expensive. This helps him take close up images for his photography in sports. He uses it for baseball, softball, lacrosse and a few other sports.

I have been eyeing this lens for about a year and was in the market for a greater than 400mm super tele lens. I tried the Tamron 150-500 f/5-6.7 and was impressed, but didn’t like the short 500mm and the slower f stop. I needed a longer range to compliment my stellar Tamron 50-400 f4.5-6.3 Di III VXD VC and this was the lens I purchased. So far I am blown away with the build quality and IQ. The newest firmware version 3 improved the OSS & the autofocus tracking. Can’t wait to really put it through its paces in the future. If your on the fence, just pull the trigger, you won’t be disappointed. Using this lens with a Sony A7 IV.

This is a big, heavy lens that does a great job. It comes with its own case because it's not going to fit into anything else you've got.

Great Sigma lens with fast auto-focus and excellent range. The pictures are 0-10m range are great as well. One issue I have is with some of the lens controls being a bit stiff, but perhaps this is because I bought a used lens? Also, the seller's packaging seems insufficient since the lens cap was loose in the box leaving the lens glass exposed in the box.

Bought the lens from Digital Goja (shipped by Amazon) "new". Got it delivered on 5/6/22. Register the warrantee on 5/7. SigmaPhoto.com states I only have 2 months 24 days left! Seems I was sold a used lens. Seller's profile states they never sell used products. Here are FAQs they posted: Q. Do you sell grey market items? A. Never. As authorized dealers, we only sell new, US versions of our products. Be careful if you've found a Canon or Sigma product for significantly less than the competition, that usually means you're buying a grey market or white box item with no warranty. Q. Do you sell used items? A. Never. Everything sold by Digital Goja is brand-new and in its original packaging. Q. Why does my product look like it's been handled before? A. As part of our quality control process, we may occasionally open a package to make sure it's complete and in perfect condition. Whenever possible we'll include a note in your package letting you know that it was opened by us and inspected for quality. Perhaps the last FAQ is their excuse to sell used products as new!
