  • Easy to use
Style: Scroll Saw Base Mach with Switch
This saw is so easy to use and cuts down on set up time on their way they have their blade set up. Also by the arm being able to stay up is a big win to. But the blade clamp and adjust tension all in one cut down on time by not have to set the blade then set the tension it all in one Motion. Plus I love the arm moves and the base stays flat it is better to have more control over your work piece. The foot switch is great. Plus the bottom blade holder is so easy and comes with three so you can have three different blades set up and ready for quick change. You can order extra bottom blade holders so you are ready for whatever cut may come up. This machine is will worth the money. ... show more

  • Great buy
Style: Scroll Saw Base Mach with Switch
One of the best scroll saw’s I’ve owned. Easy blade change. I’ve been scrolling for 23 years and wish I had this saw years ago.

  • Professional grade saw is worth the money.
Style: Scroll Saw Base Mach with Switch
I just received my scroll saw today, and set up was as easy as could be. I was up and running in about half an hour. I upgraded from a much smaller Delta scroll saw, and what a dream. The Jet is a much higher level of saw. I set it up on a table and started cutting, and it was a much more comfortable experience. The foot pedal takes a little getting used to, but I really like it. So far I am very much impressed. I read some of the other reviews, and maybe the people that wrote the critical ones had issues that were legitimate. I didn't have any. The saw was packaged very well and everything inside was in perfect condition. I for see that I will be doing a lot of scrolling in the future, partly due to how well the saw works. If you are questioning whether or not to buy one, my advice is to go ahead. If your experience is like mine, it will be worth it. ... show more

  • I have to say that I am not overly impressed
Style: Scroll Saw Base Mach with Switch
I started using a Scroll Saw 20 years ago and this is the third Scroll Saw that I have owned and I have to say that I am not overly impressed. My first complaint is the lack of a light, but I knew that when I purchased it. I was looking forward to being able to enjoy all the benefits that were advertised, quiet running, quick blade changes, and being able to raise the upper arm so that I would not have to keep bending blades to make internal cuts. Sadly I feel that they are not quite as advertised. Quiet Running. This is true, if your tension is set perfectly, and I mean perfectly, otherwise the machine as this very discordant CLANKING that it makes until you putz around with the tension settings. Raising the upper arm. You can, but there is no guarantee that it will stay up, I have not put more than 20 hours on it since it arrived (my shop is not heated and it is cold here in the winter) but I have already had to adjust the bolt that keeps the arm raised. The not fun part of this is that the blade, because it is not clamped in place below, has a tendency to slip out of the cradle that holds it while I am trying to thread it through a hole to make the next internal cut. Blade Changing. I already mentioned how the blade likes to fall out of its cradle which they appear to have attempted to remediate by adding a couple of pieces metal wire that do a better job of getting in my way when I am trying to put the blade holder in place than it does keeping it there. Also, good luck trying to quickly pop the blade holder in place without bending down and looking to see what you are doing. Finally, in my opinion, the blade holder that you need to clamp the blade into could have been better thought out. Because the holder is basically a threaded hollow, it bends the end of that blade as you tighten it which lowers the lifespan of the blade. If they had a solid surface that the blade would press up against instead of being bent into the holder, I feel that they would last longer. In conclusion, as someone who makes and sells a number of scrolled items, it is important to me to be able to both work quickly and accurately all while minimizing the cost of my tools or consumables. Maybe I just need to get used to using this machine, but so far it has both slowed me down and increased my costs by decreasing the life of my blades. I will continue to use it for a year, but if I do not start seeing better results I will be looking for my next machine. ... show more

Style: Scroll Saw Base Mach with Switch
right out of the box i did 2 hours of cutting. this machine is whisper quiet! the only sound u will hear is the blade cutting into whatever product u r working on. the changing blades takes some getting use to, but for top or bottom feeders, i do both, once u get the hang of it, it is pretty easy. i used a couple of spiral blades as well and once u adjust the upper contacts it hold those blades without problems too. this is an awesome machine! there is a lot of work space also. highly recommend this machine! ... show more

  • Disappointedly sent back
Style: Scroll Saw Base Mach with Switch
The media could not be loaded. This was my first ever scrollsaw I bought specifically for a paying job. With great disappointment I sent it back. Out the box problems 1. The blade guard on the top would not stay still at all. HAZARD takes attention off the blade and trying to move mid cut is dangerous. 2. Lower blade guard was getting hit by the lower blade arm then hitting the table. Noise was ridiculous. 3. The knocking noise in the uppper arm I could not verify the issue other than the motor was jumping all over the place when the arms reached peak upstroke. Loud obnoxious in my garage. Everyone in the house asked me to stop using it. 4. Cast bearing housing on the upper blade holder popped on my 4th blade change. Ridiculous 5. The blower tube will not stay in place and constantly falls. Another dangerous distraction to take your eyes off the blade. 6. Add a work light after all these other things are fixed. It cut well and the blade changes were easy. Saw has great potential but way too many problems at this price point. Tools should not be projects. ... show more

  • Ball bearing snapped
Style: Scroll Saw Base Mach with Switch
About 5 hours in, a ball bearing in the upper blade support shattered and hit me in the safety glasses. I wanted to give this saw 5 stars because it’s the best I’ve used in 25 years. That little thing dropped my rating.
