    • Defective right out of the box
I really wanted to like this unit. I need a compact stereo for my patio and pool area, and after looking at a lot of different units, this one seemed that it would fill the bill. What I found, though, was the unit was defective right out of the box. The CD player would not recognize any of the CDs I put in it, and the drawer acted erratically the entire time, opening and closing on its own and making it difficult to control to be able to load CDs into it. Finally it just jammed altogether on its own, for no apparent reason, rendering the CD mode totally inoperable. Luckily I did not have a CD in it at the time and have it trapped inside the unit. So I have no alternative but to return it. I will say the FM radio pulled in signals well, and the sound was rather good, especially for a small unit. It easily would have filled the purpose I acquired it for. One downside, the speakers have no holes or other means on the back for hanging them, so they'd have to be supported on tables or a speaker stand, not very convenient for some applications. The remote is small, but workable. If the CD player worked correctly it would have been useful for controlling that. No batteries were included for the backup, which seems a bit on the cheap side that the manufacturer can't spend a dime or two on a couple of batteries. I'm not reordering this unit since it just seems too flimsy and lightly built, While I like the idea of a sliding CD drawer, for it to go bad so quickly makes me think it would just be asking for future problems, even if the drawer and CD mode on another unit worked correctly at first. Sometimes (often) simpler is better. Over the years I've bought a lot of electronic hardware of all different types and levels. I've almost never had problems with the items I've bought. I've never owned Jensen before but thought the name would bring a better quality product. That is did not just adds to the disappointment. ... show more

Got this for my bedroom and it is perfect for that small space. I didn't expect high end sound quality at this price point so this little unit has met my expectations with the exception of the remote. It works sometimes and doesn't work sometimes! So that is a big disappointment. Gets good radio reception and I live in the country about 20 miles from nearest station. Would recommend for small spaces. Haven't tried it in large spaces but think it would be fine. ... show more

For the price this is a nice compact music system. Pre-sets for AM/FM and functional remote with bluetooth a plus. On the downside hardwired speakers make it difficult to space, or move speakers apart or away from receiver too much. Sound quality above average for a unit in this price range..

I loved the size and all it offers, but the way the speakers have a very specific plug in, I was unable to plug in my outside speakers. I didn’t even try using it and returned it.

I really love this stereo. Good sound quality for your money. This unit won't blow a ear drum out but it's perfect for my rv.The only thing I didn't like is the speaker cord is a bit too short.
