The white distressing was in globs both on the wood and the caning. Even though it was purchased at Amazon, it was not returnable to them free. The light colored stool of the same style was returnable as we ordered both, but the dark one was not. It would come up as returnable and then disappear.

Gorgeous and well crafted. The wood has a nice matte sheen and the cushions look comfortable and well crafted. Amazon had these for about 60% cheaper than any other. Don’t hesitate! Great value for money.

This stool arrived in a nicely packaged box. Wood bottom, dust cover and foam. I really wanted back and sides. But this is narrow on the hips. I would say I’m a big girl, but men would not be able to fit in this comfortably. The back is low- you can lean back- but not far. It will go under my island, as I hoped. I am torn. Aesthetically it is exactly what I wanted. But functionality, and comfort it’s not perfect. I may mix seating options. It is sturdy. It doesn’t wobble. It’s a great stool.
