Homework paid off. Solid cage for a home/garage gym. Rather easy to assemble for any DIY’er. Had it for three weeks now and have nothing but good things to note and say. Cable system is smooth, wonder how much smoother aluminum pulleys would be - if at all. This unit is great as it comes. Smith machine apparatus is solid and safe and moreover feels safe which is important for anyone starting the weightlifting journey or re-“learning” old techniques (ahem). At this price point this may be the best choice tbh. Functionality gets five stars. Aesthetics (the red/black design) gets five stars.

I have been using this machine for 2 months now, so far I have been able to load the smith machine bar to 315lbs, it does seem to handle the weight fine, however the bar is starting to bend and even off loading the weight I can see a slight bend in the smith machines bar after the weights have been removed. I have also been able to load a barbell to 385lbs on the J-hooks with no apparent issues so far. I did rest the bar bell at 225lbs on the safety arms, they creaked a bit at first but seemed to be fine afterwards, I saw no warping or obvious damage. For the cables, I have loaded a single side to 250lbs and conducted my workouts with no issues. The cables for the most part appear to operate smoothly while handling the load. Bottom line, do not expect this machine to be at the elite or high end professional level. For the price, it is a good purchase for the beginner to intermediate lifter. It has been an outstanding addition to my home workout routines. As I slowly increase the weights gaining more confidence in the machine I intend to update the review with my updated results in another several months.

Overall, I’m happy with this power cage, but there are a few things buyers should know. Based on other reviews, I expected it to arrive in either 3 or 4 boxes. I only received 3 boxes initially, and after starting assembly, I realized some essential parts were missing. I contacted customer service, and they sent the missing 4th box, which arrived about a week and a day later. I wasn’t in a rush, so it didn’t bother me too much, but I can definitely see how this would frustrate other customers. A few of the parts had some minor cosmetic damage from shipping. I also had to use a pair of pliers to slightly open one bracket so the guide rods/gears could move more smoothly. In my opinion, it wasn’t a major issue—small imperfections can happen with welded components—but I think the quality control could be improved. Assembly took about 3½ hours with three people. One person followed the manual, another worked on the ladder, and the third organized and handed over the necessary hardware. I wouldn’t recommend trying to assemble it alone. Once everything was put together, the rack felt very sturdy and solid—not flimsy or cheap at all. Despite the shipping and packaging issues, I’m satisfied with the final product and feel it’s a good value. Just be prepared for the possibility of delayed parts and set aside enough time (and a couple of helpers) for assembly.

BEST SMITH MACHINE ON THE MARKET! I am extremely impressed and couldn’t be happier with this Smith machine. My home gym finally feels complete. I was a little skeptical before buying, but after getting it set up and seeing the quality firsthand, I can honestly say—don’t hesitate. It’s absolutely worth it. The machine arrives in three boxes (two on the first day and one the following day). Every part is sturdy, heavy, and high-quality. Assembly wasn’t difficult, but I don’t recommend doing it alone unless you’re very experienced. I’ve put together a lot of equipment in the past, so I completed it by myself in about 5–7 hours. With help, it should take around 2–4 hours. The instructions are straightforward, and you’ll pick things up as you go. Tools I recommend having on hand: • A step stool • A drill with bits to replace the included Allen/hex keys • A 17mm socket wrench Overall, this machine feels like it’s built to last a lifetime. I’m really looking forward to the gains and continued progress. If you’re on the fence—don’t be. This purchase is absolutely worth it!

Putting together wasn't as bad as others quoted. Simple and straight forward, everything labelled including the nuts and bolts. Once together this is a great unit. I found a great deal for some rubber plates and have a full gym for under $1000. Bought for the kids, and love having a smith machine for benching and squatting. The pulleys are smooth and has enough attachments that you don't need anything else except the aforementioned weights.

I just finished assembling this machine and I’m really impressed with the build quality and versatility. The frame feels solid and stable once everything is tightened down, and the Smith machine bar glides smoothly on the guide rods. The dual cable system works great for a wide range of exercises, and the adjustable pulley height makes it easy to switch between movements. Overall, this rack is an excellent home gym investment. It combines a Smith machine, squat rack, cable system, and pull-up bar into one unit without taking up much more space than a regular power rack. I’m really happy with it and look forward to many work out on it.
