I bought the Harbor Freight 59483 50lb portable sandblaster. The gun started to give me some trouble and eventually stopped working properly. No parts are available for that gun accept the nozzles. So I read some reviews on this gun and I found one were another person was in my same situation and they bought this gun and was happy with it. I just want to say that I wish I had bought this gun from the beginning. This gun was much easier to use and gave a more reliable flow. Suggestion if you are using the 59483 blaster, I used some scrap wood and built a shelf that fit over my compressor to hold the bucket of media and when the compressor kicks on, it acts like an agitator for the media to keep it from cavitating. Worked great, otherwise you have to keep kicking the bucket or shaking it to keep it feeding media. just an idea in case someone else would like to use that idea. ... show more

Replaced a higher dollar nozzle that I cannot find tips for. Got it today, plumbed and installed in the cabinet, then blasted about a third of what I am currently working on to try it out. Works much better than the high dollar one ever did. Don't know how long it will last, but when I finish the lower unit I am working on currently, have no good idea what or when the next project needing sandblasted will be. ... show more

I like the gun but it only works with the black tip that works perfectly All the other tips don't fit so I can't use the other tips The pink tips don't go far enough down in the gun to be able to work I guess I'll just have to find somewhere else to find the different size tips so they'll fit.

I fixed it. Yes- as former reviewer said "No Suction". The unit LOOKS good- but some copycat manufacturer placed the interior air nozzle in the wrong position within the inner chamber. It is SO BAD that when using the smallest nozzle- there is actually pressure comming out of the suction port! Oh Well! there are many other guns sold by Amazon that LOOK the same. They cannot all be bad!? I took out and re-position the brass inner air nozzle to make it work. The brass nozzle has a 1/8" tapered pipe thread- and it was not seated all the way in. Through experimenting I found adjusting the brass air nozzle position further back makes all abrasive nozzles work. ... show more
