  • Quality speakers
These JBL speakers sound excellent! n for the price point, can't be beat. Crisp, clear highs n midrange, bass response is excellent for a 6.5 speaker, not the loud booming bass you get with a subwoofer, but you can add one if you like. For cruising around in your car or truck, these speakers pack a punch and are an excellent choice. They will loosen up n sound better after a few hours of play... ... show more

  • Pleasantly surprised
The JBL Club 622's are by no means the best sounding speakers I've ever heard, but they still beat almost anything that ships with base-mid trim vehicles. For the $69 sale price these are a steal. I was deciding between these and the Infinity Primus PR6512IS (which were $0.90 more than the JBL set at the time) and I have no regrets. I do agree with some of the other reviews when they say these speakers lack bass, but that should be expected for the majority of aftermarket speaker sets; these are meant to be paired with a subwoofer. That being said you can get some bass out of it through your radio's equalizer. You will definitely notice some distortion if you go too high but if you crank the 32 & 64 Hz frequencies up a few decibels you will get a fuller sound. These speakers really shine in the high mids and top end though, JBL speakers have always and will always shine when reproducing pop & hip-hop. I had a hell of a good time blasting old blink-182 and 2010s hits after installing these. I only replaced the front set in my car and I can really tell the stock set in the back of my car are holding these back. In the future I think I'll move these to the back and install a set with a dedicated woofer and tweeter like the Club 602C's in the front. I have higher hopes for the lower bass reproduction on those but the reviews I can find suggest that a dedicated sub may be required to really get things rumbling. TL;DR - If you want a sound upgrade without any additional aftermarket equipment, buy these when they go on sale. If you're a bass head, look elsewhere or get a dedicated sub. ... show more

  • Decent quality and sound
Second set of Club Series. Replaced oem mercedes. Keep original head. Couldn't justify spending a lot. I cut out the original speakers and mounted in the original mounts. Has rings. These are typical thickness. Seem made ok. Sound decent. For comparison, similar to some Kenwood coax in my boat and club 64 in back doors. I have the tweeters turned downward and button at 0. Not too bright with this setup, but might be the Mercedes eq built in and can't be altered . My car has dash tweeters so these fronts might be eqd down by MB. Bass and midrange seem ok. There again these are only mid grade for the series. The MB eq messes with speaker so I can only judge bass sound of club 64.I suspect rubber surrounds and plastic cone will last long enough. ... show more

  • Sound is amazing
Installed in a 2007 GMC Sierra Classic with factory Bose system the sound from the original speakers and these are like night and day! The sound is so much more crisp the speakers are tight and need time to break in like others have said, all in all they worth every penny! 👍

  • Must break in for 3-4 weeks.
They are very tight. This isn't the first set of JBL . They don't sound great until they loosen up. The bass will get stronger and tighter with a little bit of time. Mine sound awesome . If you can't wait , buy the kids brand .
