I’ve been using JAYO Silk PLA in silver, and it’s easily one of the most eye-catching filaments I’ve worked with. The silky finish gives prints a metallic sheen that looks amazing straight off the bed—no post-processing needed! I ordered this filament 8 pack to try out silk PLA and it was great! It looks so much like gold it is crazy. The pigment was great, very opaque. It has great adhesion, and I have had no print failures or clogs with it so far. The rainbow has a really nice gradient effect. Great for making dragons, with one mini spool having enough filament to print about 2 of them. Only had a slight problem with the diameter of the spool not fitting on the AMS lite, but it was an easy fix with a printed adapter. Would definitely buy again! Very good value.

In the beginning, we were not having great luck with our prints using this filament. Doing a little research, we found that with silk filament you need to slow down the printing speed. After doing that, we rarely had issues. The prints turned out great and the shininess was fun.

Printed great! The filament was brittle, even though it was well sealed. I placed them in the dehydrator for a few hours and it fixed the brittleness. Still not as flexible as my other PLA, but it worked. Prints came out great on my Prusa Mk4s with .4mm high flow nozzle at 225C, with no problems. The colors were good, the red looked more pink to me. I subtracted a star because they didn't send me a purple/black and instead sent 2 blue/black spools.
