Ok, friend nagged me into grudgingly getting a gun. Use was easy and flawless. A little practice will help, but very usable. Clean up was a nuisance, as I expected. But the ease of squirting out perfect strips of jerky in seconds beat any clean up effort. I will go to doing 2 lbs at once instead of 1 lbs to mitigate the clean up effort. Notable good point - reviews for several guns complained about the mix getting past the plunger seals and leaving a bunch of mix in the tube. This gun does not have that issue, the plunger swept the tube clean. The only tiny complaint is the provided bottle brush to clean the tube is too narrow, it does not brush the tube insides. So I shoved a dish cloth through instead. Caution, examine all the parts closely when cleaning. The burger mix sure liked to find tiny places to hide.

Could not be happier with this purchase. The package contains all of the 'ends' that you'll need however I prefer the flat end. I typically make 4 pounds at a time, which takes 2 takes in reloading the gun. Everything fits together nicely and the pump tightly fits so that left over meat doesn't get behind it. I've made 4 batches of turkey jerky and each time the meat dispenses evenly every time. Cleaning the unit is also a cinch. The unit breaks down easily that makes for easy cleaning. From pulling the meat from the refrigerator to cleaning the unit, it takes me about 30 minutes. And with the prices of beef jerky, this package is well worth the money.

This is my first jerky canon so nothing to compare it to, but I was very pleased with this purchase. Made a bunch of jerky from ground elk and the process was very easy using this canon. Instructions were very clear and loading, using and cleaning up the canon was easy.

I bought this to replace my LEM jerky cannon after it broke when I tried to do snack sticks in a casing. This is like 1/3 the price. Larger. Comes with a ton of attachments and cleaning tools. And is more durable and sturdy. I've done 5 or 6 batches of jerky strips and some snack sticks in casing and it's worked great. Everything comes apart easily and is easy to clean.
