I will admit, I had low expectations for this lamp. I was sorely mistaken! It's beautiful, relatively sturdy, and the remote control was a bonus I didn't know I needed. We have a living room with no overhead light. This leads to corners that are always dark, with no way to light them up easily. We've tried other floor lamps, but we never end up using them because we have to get up to turn them on, and it's just a hassle. This lamp can be turned on and off with a foot switch, which is easy to use and "just works." However, you can also turn it on and then pair the included remote control with it (you need to provide the batteries, 2 AAA), and that allows you to do all the "fun stuff" with the lamp. You can turn the light on and off, make it brighter or less bright, change the colors, or even use a "nightlight" setting. It also has a timer, which I find to be the single most useful part. Because our living room is so dark, going across it at night to get from my home office to my bedroom is a commute fraught with trip hazards. I usually use my phone light, but it's inadequate and requires me to have at least one hand free. With this light, I can set the timer and then just walk through with the light on, and it'll turn itself off within the hour! What a blessing. It's easy to put together (I didn't really use the included instructions until it was time to pair the remote). The lamp shade comes in pieces, and my wife was able to put it together with no problems at all. The "seam" is velcro, so it's easy to get on. The legs just screw together, and were surprisingly sturdy despite the lamp being fairly light. The little shelf would not hold anything really heavy, but it's perfect for a small display item or plant. I'm incredibly pleased with this lamp!

Let’s be clear here. This is a tripod lamp packaged in a small flat-pack box, complete with a shade, so this is definitely more IKEA than Room and Board, but the end result is surprisingly nice. The assembly is fairly intuitive, but it’s worth scanning the directions for the order of assembly, which is top down, not bottom up as I attempted initially. The three legs come in four segments which screw together. Two issues became apparent as I began screwing them together. First, while the finish is reasonably even in tone, there is some variability, so I sorted the sections by the depth of color so that the segments were less noticeable once assembled. Second, the screws and/or threaded inserts are not absolute dead center, so there is generally a sliver of the ends of the segments that are exposed at each joint. I may disassemble the lamp and stain the ends of the legs, which would make the exposed ends less obvious. The lamp shade is “interesting”. The fabric cover comes rolled into a cyclinder and the two wire hoops are packaged in two sections each, with vinyl tubing used to join the sections together. You assemble the hoops, unroll the fabric, then attach the fabric to the hoops using small plastic clips attached to the inside of the fabric. Finally, the seam is closed via Velcro. The resulting shade looks pretty nice. A pleasant surprise. The wire has no formal place to be routed inside our outside the legs. There are a couple wood-toned Velcro straps included, which I assume to be to guide the wire along the outside of one of the legs. The wire itself is a nice fabric-covered cord, but it isn’t especially pliable. Getting it to lay flat on a leg proved impossible with just two anchors, so at least for now, I wound it around a leg and used one Velcro strap to secure it at the bottom. It looks OK, but I think I will look for better clipping alternatives for routing it straight down the backside of a leg. In terms of operation, at its core, it’s just a standard lamp with a foot switch. It turns on and off and can accommodate a variety of bulbs. The included “smart” bulb works fine, but honestly, I don’t want yet another remote on my nightstand. The good news is that the bulb seems to come back on in the mode you last used, so the remote isn’t required most of the time. The remote provides on/off, 1-hour timer, dimmer up/down, color temp, and “night light” buttons. In the end, the lamp looks pretty nice next to its much pricier Room and Board chair and is absolutely nice enough for a bedroom.

Nice lamp, nice features: I was happy to see this lamp matched the product photos very well. Good quality wood feel/look of the legs, although it may not be real wood but thankfully it doesn’t look cheap or plastic which is a plus. Nice neutral color fabric wrap around lampshade that was well packaged. I would describe it as an appealing mid-century mod aesthetic lamp, but works well with a variety of decor. The lamp was fairly easy to assemble. A unique function of this lamp is it comes with a remote which allows you can change the light color (blue, green, purple red etc), and also the color “temperature”: cooler bluish white to warmer yellow light which I appreciate, as I like warm toned lights. Overall this product is a good value, good quality, fun features, and exceeded my expectations.

I’ll be honest, I wasn’t expecting much when this lamp showed up in such a small flat-pack box, but the finished product actually looks really nice. It definitely has more of an IKEA-style assembly than a high-end furniture feel, but once it’s together, it looks good enough to fit right in with more expensive furniture. Assembly was pretty straightforward, although I recommend actually looking at the instructions before starting. I initially tried putting the legs together from the bottom up when they’re really meant to be assembled from the top down. Each leg comes in multiple sections that screw together. The color of the wood finish varies slightly between sections, and some of the joints don’t line up perfectly, so you can see a little bit of the unfinished end at certain connections. The lampshade was probably the biggest surprise. It arrives rolled up with the wire frame in pieces, so you have to assemble the hoops, attach the fabric with the little clips, and close the seam with Velcro. It sounds more complicated than it actually is, and once assembled, the shade looks surprisingly good. The cord is probably my biggest complaint. There isn’t really a dedicated way to route it down the leg, so they include a couple of Velcro straps to help hold it in place. The fabric-covered cord looks nice, but it’s fairly stiff, so getting it to lay perfectly straight along the leg is difficult. I ended up wrapping it around one of the legs, which works but isn’t quite as clean-looking as I would prefer. As far as the lighting goes, it works like a normal floor lamp with a foot switch, but the included bulb adds some extra features. You get multiple color temperatures, dimming, a night-light setting, and a timer through the remote. I’m not a huge fan of having another remote sitting around, but thankfully the bulb seems to remember its last setting, so I don't have to use the remote every time I turn it on. Overall, I’m pretty happy with this lamp. It has a few little quirks that remind you it’s a flat-pack piece of furniture, but once assembled, it looks much more expensive than I expected. It works well, the shade turned out better than I thought it would, and it looks great in the room. For a bedroom, reading corner, or office, I think it’s a solid option.

I absolutely love this JACKYLED tripod floor lamp. It adds a beautiful mid-century modern touch to the room while also being incredibly functional. The solid wood tripod design feels sturdy and stable, and the built-in shelf is a great bonus for displaying books, plants, or small decorations. The three color temperatures are perfect for different situations from warm and cozy lighting in the evening to natural white for reading and cool white when I need brighter, focused light. The RGB colors and dynamic modes are especially fun for parties, gaming, or creating a relaxing atmosphere. The remote control makes it super convenient to change the lighting from across the room, and I really appreciate having the foot switch as well. Assembly was simple and didn't take long. Once put together, the tripod feels stable and doesn't wobble, even on carpet. I also like the overall design and the small shelf is actually useful for a book or a few small items. The main thing I would change is the power cable. Ideally it would run inside one of the wooden legs, or at least have a built-in channel to hide it. As it is, the cord remains visible along the leg, which takes away a little from the clean look of the lamp. It does include brown cable ties that blend in reasonably well, but only three were provided. Since these aren't the kind of ties most people will already have lying around in a matching color, including a few extras would have been useful. The foot switch is convenient, and having different white color temperatures plus the RGB options gives it more flexibility than a basic floor lamp. Overall, I like the lamp and would give it 4 stars.

I ordered this light to double as a bedside stand since it is compact and has a shelf, and I needed it for a spot where there isn’t a lot of room for a table. The lamp does require installation, which at first seemed like it might take a long time, but it took about 5-10 minutes to get everything set up. It does come with some spare parts too which was helpful, especially because I broke a piece of plastic when putting the metal rings on the lampshade together (but there were two spare pieces so that saved me). I ended up using my own bulb instead of the bulb that came with the light, but the light comes with a bulb and remote that can change the color temperature and brightness, and it has a remote for easy adjustments, and I may end up using it.

This lamp ended up being a nice addition to the room because it combines lighting with actual storage space. The three shelves give me somewhere to put a few books, small plants, or decorations without needing another piece of furniture.The tripod style frame also gives it a more finished look than a basic floor lamp. The lighting options are what make it especially versatile. Being able to switch between three color temperatures is useful depending on whether I want brighter light for reading or something warmer in the evening. The RGB modes are a fun extra when I want a different atmosphere, and having both a remote and foot switch makes controlling it convenient. Assembly was fairly straightforward, and once everything was put together it felt stable. The included E26 LED bulb is also nice since there was no need to immediately buy a separate bulb.
