  • Works... fine. And any issues I have are mostly on me.
I bought the Sprint Jet to replace an ancient Harbor Freight pancake compressor that is super loud and in its death throes. I needed something quieter. The Sprint Jet is WAY quieter than my old compressor; quieter than my best expectations. What I did not realize is this Sprint Jet compressor never turns off. Onces it's ON it's pumping air. Even if you aren't using the airbrush at all, it's pumping air and packing pressure. That air has to go somewhere if there is no holding tank. If you want a compressor that's "smart" enough to turn itself off when you're not using air, then you need the "SMART JET" that is approx $100 more. The end result is that there's a big pressure load on the beginning blast of airbrush paint that you have to spurt somewhere before you begin airbrushing in earnest. As long as you are using the airbrush in a series of blasts, you don't need to do this pressure-relief blast. But if you stop squeezing the trigger for any period of time, a wall of pressure builds up because the Sprint Jet never stops pumping air until you turn it off. EDIT: You can slightly crack the moisture trap valve as a slow bleed relief valve to avoid the pressure build-up on the first pulse. Fifth star restored. This is quite a solid little tool. The more time I spend with it, the more I realize that it's absolutely perfectly designed for my kind of airbrushing. If you are in the "Cult of 40" who airbrush at 40 psi, this won't work for you. But us "26rs" will find this unit is balanced and versatile. If you've got an extra Benjamin, go with the Smart Jet, not the Sprint Jet. My two cents. Still MILES better than my pancake compressor. That beast has been banished to the garage. ... show more

  • A high quality compressor for airbrushing
This compact compressor has a small side tank to keep pressure regulated. It has a very high quality build. It's also not too loud so you can use it without hearing protection. I am currently using it with a paache airbrush and it's working great. It has a nice carry handle and the suction feet keep it from wandering around your space. ... show more

  • I Was On The Fence
I wasn't sure that I could get by without a storage tank on the compressor. And I probably should have gone up one notch and gotten the Smart model that shuts off when you're not spraying. But all things considered it does the job just fine. Many people say that you pay more for the Iwata name. That is true but the quality shows. It's very quiet, I can't detect any pulses in the paint strokes and the small size makes it easy to store. I should explain that I use it to paint models mostly with Veleho acrylic paints and it does the job. Technically, it operates in the lower end of the pressure range that my Iwata Eclipse HP CS is designed for but I've had no problem getting the effects that I want. ... show more

  • Great performance, quiet little air compressor
I purchased this compressor for my Iwata airbrush and so far this thing has been great. It's got a water trap filter at the hose connector, a nice and compact shape, and is quiet (for a compressor) when it runs. You can adjust the pressure and does well when I use it for acrylics. When you turn it on it will run and fill up to the pressure you set and then will shut off until you use the air. It makes a quiet humming sound, somewhat similar to an aquarium pump but louder. It also has a small carry handle on the top so you can easily carry and move it around. I've really been enjoying this machine so far! ... show more

  • Reliable and good quality
I ran this thing continuously for hours while working on a project. Held up great. Very happy with the purchase. I used it with an Iwata airbrush.

  • Great for gundam
This compressor has greatly improved my painting. It makes little to no sound and sprays great! A bit pricey but that's ok

  • Great little compressor
I bought this compressor to supply air to my Iwata-Medea Eclipse HP BCS Dual Action Bottle Feed Air Brush ECL 2001. The compressor is quiet and stays in place. A previous compressor I had in the past would move along the floor with the vibrations. The compressor is oiless, which is a big plus, and has a built in filter. The compressor doesn't appear to heat up nearly as much as some compressors I have owned in the past. The compressor is nice and compact. The compressor supplies enough pressure to do everything that I need to with my airbrush, but doesn't really give you 35 psi on the maximum setting. The most I have gotten is closer to 25 psi. It is still a very good compressor, however, I have to deduct one star based on cost versus value and the lower than stated maximum pressure. The price of the compressor is pretty high, relatively speaking. ... show more

  • Great little Air Compressor
I bought this for use with an Iwata Eclipse airbrush and I love it! One of the best features is that it's oiless so I don't have to worry about costly or complicated mainenance. I was also pleasantly surprised that it's no where near as noisy as my old (junky) air compressor! Very happy with this little machine! I'm not sure how I'd compare to other compressors as I've only had two, but this one doesn't seem to heat up as fast as my other one, so that's another plus! ... show more
