So, This is a real review first of all. I never do reviews as I don't really care but this thing is pretty awesome! I have been looking for quite some time for a foot spa because I have a broken toe and a messed up ankle and have been wearing a boot for a while to walk. The boot was doctors orders and you can see my boot in one of the photos. I wanted a foot spa that heats up and could take Epsom Salt and was well built. I spent days looking at all of the reviews online and so many had bad reviews and I almost gave up. The one that had been at the top of many lists was the Ivation but I still wasn't sure. But it had the least amount of negative reviews, so I decided to try it. Plus, I love Amazon's return policy so I knew I would be safe! I got the machine today, two days early from Amazon which was super cool and so here goes. 1. It is much more impressive looking than in the photos. I thought it would be kind of cheap but it is not at all! Super happy about this as so many looked like cheap Chinese junk as so many reviews said so many of these machines were garbage and broke. This thing is very well made..which was not expected. 2. There is plenty of space inside which I love! I wear size 9 shoes and I can move my feet up to the top and down to the bottom which is great to have the rollers hit different spots on your feet. 3. Speaking of rollers, there are only two..one on each side and I was hoping for something that was decent and did not bother me like so many reviewers said about their rollers. Each one feels pretty nice on each foot and might have been nice to have two on each side instead of one... would have liked that but they work great and feel good and do not bother me whatsoever! a nice bonus and super happy about this. 4. Maybe the biggest reason I bought one of these was the heater. Many of them reviewed online said the heat was either non existent or for some reason...went way too hot!! I was really concerned with this was this was huge for me. I had also seen people showing their thermometers in the water and it was totally different than what the temp was on the machine. Happy to say that this thing heats up beautifully! I started with pretty warm water....but then set it to 107 to 108...and it heated up fast and worked so nicely! As you can see in the photo..it is typically within 2 degrees of what you set it at...and this was better than any of the reviews I had read about any machine. This was my most important need and happy to say it is awesome! 5. The bubbles are a nice touch but as with every other machine I read bout..nothing special. Yes I would have loved more of a jacuzzi feeling...but it seemed after looking for days for the right one..... that this was the one thing I would have to compromise on. So,,better than no bubbles! Good and steady heat and being well built was the most important. So....happy to say that I am keeping this thing for sure. Now, I have only used it for less than a few hours...so no idea if it will break like so many reviewers have said about so many different machines...but it is solid....pretty nice looking ......works as well as I could have hoped for..and I am using Epson Salts in it. I work 12+hours a day on uneven hard surfaces that require steel toes and oil resistant no slip boots (not very comfy). My feet started really needing some loving care and I'd been wanting a foot spa for a while. I was nervous as a woman with big feet (size 12 wide dress shoes size 11 wide work boot) but my feet fit in here no problem! My husband and his skis for feet fit too! I saw plenty of reviews that said this was noisy. None of us think this is noisy at all. I mean, it's going to make noise when you turn the bubble feature on but it doesn't drown out my TV set low (Vol 8). If you're on the fence about getting this, here are some things we've found: Once your water is in where you want it, plug it in, adjust your temp to the setting you would like (we do about 107°) and walk away for 30 minutes while it heats up. When it heats, the big bump in the middle towards where your heels are is where the heat is going to come from. I'm way more heat tolerant than my husband and even I pulled my heat out the first time I used it and sometimes it still gets a little uncomfortable when it reheats to maintain water temp. Once it gets to temp, add your Epsom salt or whatever additive you're going to use. The timer feature is your friend to make sure you don't oversoak. We use a tea tree oil and Epsom salt soak that can really dry your feet out if you aren't careful. When setting it up, we set down a towel, then the foot spa, and use an empty gallon water bottle to pour water in instead of filling it up at a tap and then moving it to where we want it. The towel helps any water splash out when we use the bubble feature and helps keep the area dry when we pull our feet out. It comes with a VERY rough pumice stone to rub your feet after. It also has some nice quick swap massage heads for the center near the arch of your feet as well as a brush you could put there for massage if the knobby ones aren't to your liking. I hope this review helps someone out there.
