  • Edited and it’s fine
Size: P-Series Gray 170 Tor
It's nice enough, but the battery life is ass. I wanted to replace my corded drill as the cord broke so it no longer got power without jiggling. This one, at the time, had decent reviews. Unfortunately, less than a year and maybe three or four uses (because it's always dead), I'm going to look into replacing it. I've quite literally had to keep my old one as backup. It takes a very long time to charge enough to be used and the battery doesn't last long enough on one charge to file off ten very short nails of builder gel. It also can't be used while charging, which tells me the quality is low, as that means it's not charging fast enough to do both. (I've tried several different chargers as everything in the house uses USB-C as well.) I also can fully charge it and not touch it for several days and it will be dead when I come back. I can't recommend this product due to the long and inconvenient charging and relatively short battery life. It does not meet my needs. I gave two stars because for the short time it works, IT'S ACTUALLY QUITE EFFECTIVE. Editing this: the only cable in my home that fully charged this—and I got over an hour continuous usage!!—was the Nintendo Switch base with the Nintendo OEM cable. No other cable and base in my house could get it to full charge. I found this by accident as it was the only cable I had near me one day. So if you happen to have a cable capable of charging a Chromebook, and a comparable high speed charging base, this is the drill for you. I could do with less vibration though. ... show more

  • Easy to Use and Convenient!
Size: P-Series Red 170 Tor
I started doing my nails at home. I was getting gel x nails every 3-4 months. I now buy press on nails. I use this drill for removal of my press ons. Specifically to take off the top layer of polish and some of the bulk from the press on nails before I soak in acetone. I considered buying a clip on drill (the ones that have the drill connected to a rectangular component) but I'm so happy I chose the pen cordless version. Because I'm doing at home nails once every 3 weeks, it's so nice to have the convenience of the pen. I live in a small apartment so it's easy to pull out and store since I do my nails on my coffee table because I don't have a designated space. The nail bits that are included are also great. I ended up buying another set that Melody Susie has that are specific for cuticles but the ones that come with the pen are honestly enough, especially if you're just starting out. I use the bits to prep my nails and cuticle, buff my nail plate and the inside of the press on nails. The battery lasts quite a while as well. I also like the different speed settings. As a beginner, I used level 1 primarily the first few times. I haven't gone above level 20. I also just learned that you can switch the direction the drill spins. I didn't realize that at first and struggled when I would switch hands. I'm so happy that I've learned you can do this. Overall, if you're considering this, I'd definitely recommend, especially for at home beginners. ... show more

  • Awkward to hold, kind of long, but it does the job!
Size: P-Series Purple 170 Tor
I bought this for home use on myself therefore I cannot speak to the value of this product for professionals. I bought this as I do my own builder gel manicures at home. I charged it once and it has been lasting me for the last two months, I do my nails weekly, such good battery life so far! The speed goes up quite a lot but since I only work on my natural nails and sometimes to refill my builer gel, I only go up to a speed of 3. It is easy to use and to insert the different bits although I wish it had some sort of snap or something to let you know it is in at the right length. I wish it was a bit shorter as it is very sleek and hard to grip at the right spot. The length and design are kind of awkward to grab and hold when you are working around the cuticle area; especially when working on yourself. It seems very sturdy and durable, I've dropped it twice because of how awkward it is to hold and it did not get scratched or cracked. I hope they can make some sort of grip accessory to add to this to make it more enjoyable to use. Other than that the lilac color is very pretty and it has been very useful in my at-home manicures. If you struggle with carpal tunnel, are left handed, or just in general are picky about how you hold your pencils and utensils then I would go with a different design. I did purchase the MelodySusie case separately and this drill fit just fine since it had an adjustment so that the drill can be snug when the case is closed. The Drill bits fit in the slots as well although not snug, they fall out once you close the case. ... show more
