I've tried using tattoo guns and I like this so much better I've only ever tried to do a tattoo myself before once and it came out like s*** so this time around I bought this and first try ended up with a really good result. Granted I am very much into art, so I wouldn't try going in doing this yourself with no artistic experience. I absolutely love this and highly recommend for newbies. The ink that comes with it isn't the greatest of quality though, so buy your own ink. pen gun itself and cartridges are fair but inks are very low quality and they synthetic skin is super thin. carbon paper is ok at best.
