Wow. I’m going to start out by saying I have always loathed protein shakes. They are thick, overly sweet, and pretty rough on my stomach. It has always been a chore to get one down and I would feel terrible afterwards. Not anymore. This product is a game changer for me. Consistency is just a little thicker than water. Very easy to get down. Flavor is amazing! I can only speak to the mango lime so far, but it’s like drinking a refreshing lemonade. It’s not overly sweet, In fact it’s a little tart. I make it with cold refrigerated water. I think that is the way to go. Shake it up real well in a blender bottle (shaker bottle) and then LET IT SIT for a few minutes. Every thing dissolves and it’s perfectly mixed and clear after a few minutes. I actually enjoy the drink. Can you believe that?! While one could chug it very easily, I like to take my time and enjoy it. I’ve been having one with every meal. I will be trying a new flavor soon, because the mango lime seems to only be available in the smaller size and I go through it quickly. So bottom line is even if I didn’t enjoy the fantastic flavor, it would be easy to chug down my 20 ounces in just a few seconds and I would still give it 5 starts because it’s sooo easy to get down.

I wasn’t overly impressed the first time I tried this. The lemon flavor wasn't as lemony as I was used to for lemonade flavor. For some, the flavor may be fine. The second time I mixed, I added a single serve packet of my regular lemonade flavoring that I use with plain water. (I don’t like the taste of plain water so I use the Walmart individual packets of lemonade flavoring to flavor my water so I get in my daily intake). That extra added kick of lemonade flavoring did the trick! The taste now is perfect for me. After blending it with the frother stick, it does get foamy, but then I add ice to my water bottle, close it up, shake well to get the ice to chill it down, allow it to sit a few minutes and the foam goes away. It doesn’t mix well if just using a blender ball shaker. I had to use the frother (or an immersion stick works too) The Isopure is Great way to get extra protein into my daily protein intake that would have otherwise just been my usual lemonade flavored water. Also the price point and quantity is better than most anything else available.

I have been wanting to try a clear protein product, and since I have used the ice of pure vanilla in the past, decided to give their citrus flavor, a try. Powder mixed pretty well with cold water. There was a foam created by mixing, but most of which settled away once I let the container sit for a few seconds. pretty easy to drink. The flavor is not overpowering and definitely on the tart side. It could benefit from a little more sweetness, but I prefer this over the artificially sweet flavors from other brands I have tried in the past. I have actually combined it with a creatine powder that I have that is on the sweet side. I also like that there are so few ingredients.

Many of us need to get more protein into our daily lives. This is a great way to boost protein everyday. 1. For weight loss replacing carbs with protein has been shown to help. 2. If one is trying boost muscle mass, the recommended daily protein intake is 1 gram per lb body weight. 3. For those using GLP-1 medications not only are they losing fat but also losing muscle mass due to eating less. Their appetites are diminished so it can be difficult to eat enough protein daily. This product is an easy way to get the protein needed to maintain muscle mass. While recovering from major surgery, and on a liquid diet they had me drink the bottled Isopure in the hospital to get my protein. My surgeons and dietitian really pushed this on me. Unfortunately at that point everything tasted horrible to me due to the antirejection meds I am on, and the bottled Isopure was tough to swallow. We ended up bringing home a few of the bottles for me to try later. One of the side effects of antirejection meds is also increased blood sugar. A few months after surgery is was put on a GLP-1 med to address. Before I began using, I researched since I heard there are side effects to using a GLP-1 like Ozempic (I am on a low dose of a different one, commonly used for Type 2 diabetes). I did notice the loss of muscle mass, so needed to up my protein intake. Besides eating more protein and drinking protein shakes, I tried the bottled Isopure, but the taste was still unappealing to me. I knew Isopure was the preferred clear protein by my care team, so I wanted to try the powdered product due to a lower cost per serving. I was surprised the powdered product mixed into water at home actually tastes GOOD. I highly recommend this product. Shaken into water, you get your protein along with hydration without other ingredients. Sugars and calories are lower than a protein drink or shake. Shaken correctly and allowed to settle a minute there is no grittiness or aftertaste. It’s like drinking a sllightly flavored juice.

I’ve struggled to find a protein powder that doesn’t leave a weird aftertaste or come loaded with calories just to taste decent. This one was a pleasant surprise! I recently started exploring “clear” protein powders and tried the Pina Colada flavor—it actually lives up to the name. The consistency is lightly milky, reminiscent of a real pina colada, but without the heaviness. Flavor-wise, it’s spot on: tropical, clean, and best of all, no fake sugar aftertaste. The scent is exactly what you’d expect, too—not overly sweet or artificial. Like other clear proteins, it does get quite bubbly when shaken, but give it about 30 seconds and it settles nicely. Overall, I’m impressed and would definitely reorder. Curious to see how the other flavors compare!
