I bought these pants and the Machlab pants. These are more stylish while the Machlab are basic looking sweats, still very good quality though. I bought these for the zippered front pockets and the back pocket but the open front Machlab pockets are larger and deeper, no back pocket though. I didn't have any issues with items falling out of the Machlab pockets. They felt secure. Items will fall out of these smaller zippered pockets but thats what the zipper is for. They won’t be as comfortable if you want to put your hands in them. The first thing I noticed is that these pants are much thinner than the Machlab pants but they are still warm. Looks like the wool fibers are shorter. I’ll add a comparison pic later. I can’t compare how warm they are since we have warmed up a lot this week in Michigan (temps are 20°F higher) but they feel warm and comfortable. This large fits about the same as the Machlab large. Im ready to buy another pair of these because they are more stylish. Looks like you may get zippered or unzippered pockets randomly though based on reviews. ... show more

I love these pants. I am a woman, 5'6", 117 lbs, and they are the exact right length. The waist is good, but the whole area from the waistband to the knee is huge. I don't care, because when I wear them, I'm either at home or outside with a long coat. Not sure why there is so much room in the seat. ?? But they are great for outside distanced visits and walking! These are a great idea, a bit bulky but very warm and comfortable. I would highly recommend them. I bought them for my husband who is 6' and slender. I bought the medium, which are almost too short. They do not come down quite to his shoes. If using in the winter for outdoor activities, you'd need to be wearing boots you could tuck them into. I thought it was strange that the tag was cut off from the inside of the back of the pants (you could see where it was cut off), and the brand tag was placed on top of the pants but not attached.
