  • Great Scooter and Customer Support
Color: Red
This my first ever electric scooter, so I can't make any comparison, except to provide my personal take. It is a really robust and well built scooter. It's similar, if not identical, to the Bogist C1 Pro scooter that's sold in the UK, Europe and Canada. Although the handle bars fold down to make the scooter more compact, just realize that it would still be a challenge toting it around for any lengthy amount of time, since it weighs around 50lbs. I suppose you can just walk/roll the scooter around if needed and if the terrain / environment allows. However, when the scooter is folded, it does makes it easier to lift and stow into your vehicle or lug it up and down stairs. My first ride on a fully charged battery, was about 10 miles on relatively flat suburban sidewalks, streets and school grounds. I initially had it on ECO mode, since I've never rode any type of scooter before, but towards the end, I bumped it up to MID. The riding modes basically limit the speed of the scooter. In ECO mode, I believe it limits your speed to around 10 mph or so, and MID to around 20 mph, and HIGH to its max speed. I haven't actually maxed out the speed yet, but have gotten around 20 mph, according to the built in speedometer. I do love the front and rear shock suspension and that seems to make the ride more comfortable and not let you feel every pebble and piece of gravel on the road. I do also prefer the pneumatic tires, rather than having a solid rubber tire and I believe that adds more to your riding comfort. The headlights can't be manually turned on, as it is controlled by a light sensor. When it gets dark, the headlights turn on automatically and turns off when the scooter senses enough ambient light. I would rather have a manual switch to control the lights, but it's no big deal. The riding deck is fairly decent. IMO, wide and long enough for your both your feet. I can comfortably place my feet side by side, with a little overhang on either side, but I prefer one foot in front of the other, with the rear foot primarily on the balls of my feet with my rear heel elevated to allow the rear fender to go up and down for the suspension travel. Your not supposed to rest your foot on the rear fender. Too bad there's no built-in rear foot rest, but I think I'm going build my own foot rest bracket and bolt it down using the retaining screws on the rear of the deck, that would normally be used to bolt down the seat. The cruise control was tricky to figure out, since the manual doesn't explain its usage that well. To activate the cruise control, you have to max out the thumbwheel accelerator, while turning on the scooter. You should see cruise control icon on the display when the power completes initialization. Then, to set the cruise control, use the accelerator to go to whatever speed you want to go AND stay at that speed for a few seconds, maybe 3-5 seconds, then you can let go of the thumbwheel accelerator, and it will maintain that speed! It's a nifty feature, which prevents your thumb from tiring during long steady stretches of riding. And to disable the cruise control, simply press the break or bump the throttle (thumbwheel accelerator). On my 2nd trip with the scooter, I took it to an RV park, which had paved roadways with small rolling hills around the area and walking paths. I was riding it in HIGH mode and went as fast as around 23 mph. I still could go faster, but haven't built up my confidence level yet. I actually took it off road onto a pine needle laden hiking trail. It did haul my 175lb body weight up and down the trail at around 10 mph with no problem. I rode around the RV park and to a nearby boat ramp using the street access. Going up and down hills does drain the battery faster and you start to lose "juice" / power, when going up hills, when the battery starts to go empty. The odometer says I got another 9 miles, for a total of 19 miles on one full charge. I'm not sure how accurate the odometer is, but I traced out my 1st riding path on google maps, and I went around at least 9mi, and my odometer read 10 miles. I'll have to do more testing to determine the odometers accuracy. The last subject I'd like to discuss, is the customer service. I've had a few questions and concerns regarding my scooter, and I would like to surprisingly admit, that my customer service experience was outstanding. I wasn't and didn't expect that. The seller kept open a good communication channel between me, via Amazon. I had a response the next day and they were very friendly and accommodating. I don't think it's realistic to expect an instant response each time, which is alright with me. The key for me, was that they did actually respond and was professional about it. Overall, for a 500W scooter, I'm very impressed for both the quality and performance of the scooter, and the customer service I received. My plan for this scooter is to ride it back and forth to my local gym to save me some gas money and to enjoy the my local neighborhood even more. It's also fun taking it along on camp trips. Again, this is from my personal experience, but I would highly recommend this particular scooter and seller. ... show more

  • Make sure you don't install handlebar upside down.
Color: Red
Edited review because I realized handlebar was installed upside down by my son. Make sure you don't accidentally install it upside down like my son did. It put the throttle on the wrong side so I took the handlebar apart to move the throttle from the left side to right side not realizing it was upside down. After all was done and said I got it corrected. Also, I advise loosing the brakes and throttle on the handlebar and aiming them slightly down. This will let you have a more firm grip on the handlebar. Scooter rides smooth, does what it's supposed to. I recommend driving in the mid gear setting. 20-24 mph feels good on the road just using the mid setting. I don't recommend the high setting which will let you go 28 mph. Once you hit that point it gets a little bit more sketchy. I don't recommend that unless you're experienced and comfortable doing so, certainly not just starting out. Also you might want to adjust the brakes to your preference. I tightened the nut on the rear brake to make it brake a little harder on the rear brake. Lastly, enjoy your new ride. It's a lot of fun. :-) ... show more

  • So far good value for the money.
Color: Red-Seat
I started out on the wrong foot with this when is arrived with Styrofoam all broken up in the box. This probably caused the plastic back fender to be loose and broken in it's screw holes. The first short test ride of a mile or so ended with a flat tire from a bad innertube. I notified their company support. They had good responses for compensating me for my troubles. They gave me a decent amount off for the tire, a free extra fender, a replacement innertube, and a Ulock with a cable. I did the tire repair myself and it was quite a challenge but with a helper got it fixed. Make sure to Slime your innertubes. I was used to a heavier scooter so this one took a bit of time to get used to. After 150 miles It rides nice and has a convenient cruise control that can be quite useful for those fairly straight roads, but make sure to undo it for sharp curves. I use the seat and find the shock system , with its shocked seat post, and air filled tires, manages the bumps very well. It's a good scooter for a beginner and up who just need it for cruising around, some light off road stuff, or a daily commute. It's sturdy but light. It accelerates smoothly without throwing you back in your seat and the top end is more than enough for a scooter this light. I've done 26 mph and it had more. I haven't tested the range but it seems adequate. Don't depend on the voltage readout because when it got down to 3 bars of 6 it quickly went to dead on me. Also that readout is impossible to see in the sun which is disappointing. But you just have to get used to the speeds you're comfortable with and stop and check for voltage if you think you've rode a substantial distance. I did run out and had a lift home, and it was portable enough to fold and pretty easily lift and fit into our small trunk. I recommend this as a good buy for the price range overall, and might update later after more time on it . ... show more
