After a recent trip to the vet, the DR suggested I put my dog on low-fat food. I already had a similar container at home with the regular dog food that my other 2 dogs eat (had purchased that container at ALDI @ great a price, but it was an ALDI "find" so not a product that is always in stock, but rather a limited deal), and when I shopped around town, these types of containers were pricier, so I shopped Amazon & came across this one. For $20 and good reviews, I bought it. I'm glad I did! It does exactly what it's supposed to do. I've had NO issues with a "smell" others have commented about, no issues "putting together" (what's there really to put together other than inserting the casters into the bottom??), no issues with the casters (have never fallen off or otherwise been problematic), no issues with the seal around the lid ... not one issue! Keeps the food fresh, keeps the smell of food away so as not to attract ants or other insects, sturdy enough to that I'm not concerned about it cracking or breaking -- hey, for $20, you can't go wrong! ... show more

I use them without the wheels because of my counter height. I also added a paper towel on top of the food, to absorb excess moisture. The rear hinge could be a point of failure in the future, so take care when opening and the "airtight" seal, isn't really airtight, since I pressed the top cover when closing and it popped back to normal, but these are great bins for the price. ... show more

I ordered this because the description said it would hold my 50 lb bag of dry dog food and it had wheels. When it arrived the label clearly stated it held 46 lbs. I was slightly disappointed because it defeated my purpose in ordering. However, I decided to try it anyway and was pleasantly surprised to learn it not only held the entire 50 lb bag but still left room for the scoops (and probably about 10 lbs more food)! ... show more

If you’re looking for airtight, this product isn’t quite it as the handle does not tightly latch. It closes and “latches” but it’s not a tight latch like we’re used to with plastic storage bins. I don’t know why you’d knock it over or tip it upside down but if you did, the lid would open on its own accord. If you keep the product upright then you’re fine. Other than that it’s exactly as described. It moves around freely with the wheels and holds a 30 lb. bag of dog food with some room to spare. ... show more

I got 2 of these to hold cat and dog food. It was a tiny bit difficult for me to snap them in, but I suspect most people will have no trouble. They do not seem to be particularly air tight, but perhaps this is user error. The rollers work great and I can easily roll around quite a lot of pet food- without messing up my back. I got this to hold litter for our four cats. We buy a 40lb bag monthly and I have had a lot of trouble with it getting all over due to fishing it out of the bag. Also I have been trying to keep the cats out of it, and fear that they may use it before it gets to the box… this solves both of those problems. It is on wheels so moving it is easy.     • Cheap but gets the job done

It is a good size and rolls well. Keeps the food fresh and the dog out. My only complaint is the lid didn't quiet fit at first and I kind of had to man handle it to stay on. Once it was on though it was fine.
